I am really pleased with this item. I chose it in preference to other rechargeable torches due to the good reviews. The customer service is excellent, I got an email after I received the item asking if all was OK and offering to answer any queries. The torch is light with a handy little wrist strap, and not too heavy to hold for night walks with my dog. It seems well made, and gives a strong clear light. The little charger works, and following a helpful email from their customer services I now understand that I did not fully charge the battery which is why I did not yet see the green light!!! Apparently it will take 8 - 12 hours to charge the battery fully, and the battery comes with some charge in it already. However, it is not showing any sign of needing recharging yet. The instructions re the charging light may be misleading - or just not explicit enough, but I can recommend the torch fully.

As other reviewers have commented, the torch is powerful and gives a focused long range bright beam. It is very well made and feels like a quality item. I have used a couple of wind-up torches in the past for ad hoc use but in practice they have not been practical enough for my use, whereas the rechargeable batteries of this torch give a strong bright light for a sustained period. So much better. Initially when I received the torch it would not work but the battery was diagnosed as the fault, so the Customer Service lady swiftly supplied a replacement. Excellent customer service.

I havent used this torch much since I bought it a month ago but it is certainly a nice, well made product which arrived well packaged and on time. I noticed that it is waterproof which is obviously an added bonus. In comparison with the other torches I have bought, this is better by quite a lot with an excellent beam. The charging unit and included rechargeable battery are so compact and easy to use. I personally would recommend this rechargeable torch to anyone....not a bad price too.

I bough this to replace an identical torch that had broken. This one supposedly has a 5w LED so I was expecting it to be a bit brighter than the 3w LED in my previous torch. How wrong was I? The LED is tiny and is set back too far behind the reflector and as a result the hotspot is too small and is surrounded by several rings. Returned to Amazon who have been their usual efficient selves and a refund has been issued.

This was received well packaged and very quickly. It was a Christmas present so hadn't been used until lately. Well....it's really great. Very bright, has strobe and SOS flash. One thing though; the batteries are wrapped in very thin plastic (I know!) don't forget to remove it. Update October 2015 - I have now bought another two of these torches so we all have one. My 8 year old loves his as he says 'it's the brightest torch ever!'; I must admit it is very bright. I am also buying another for a 14 year old family member (what do you get a 14 yer old) and I am sure it will be well received. It charges quickly and holds the charge for ages. this is actually an item that really does do what it perports to do.

This is a splendid product and excellent value for money. The item arrived well packaged in a sturdy box together with the battery and charger. The battery took about 4 hours to fully charge and when I tried the torch I was pleasantly surprised at its brightness and the versatility of its modes. Highly recommended.
