Matte finish on the screen
I really like this screen protector, I just wish it was easier to apply. It gives a lovely Matte, which means that there is almost zero reflection or glare on the screen which is what j wanted. I don’t use the pencil so I can’t comment on the writing feel.Well worth the cost.

Impossible to apply satisfactorily
Extremely disappointing and frustrating to use. The first attempt was a complete waste—the included cloth left behind tiny particles that only became visible after applying the screen protector, resulting in it being binned. The second try, this time without using the provided cloth, was slightly better but still tedious. It took ages to align and reposition the film due to nearly invisible particles that caused immovable air bubbles that can only be removed by peeling the film and using the sticker to get rid of them. Not worth the hassle or the price. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

1 star reviews are not fair at all
If you follow the official help video on youtube you will not fail to apply the screen protector to the ipad, there will be no bubbles and the screen will be applied evenly on all sides. Also you have to do it in a daylight with minimum dust in the air, and closed windows if it's windy. I managed to do it dust and bubble free in my bedroom. If you have bad eyesight I assume you have glasses so you should put them on. Face the screen to the window as the dust speckles are visible in the reflection of the daylight. Watch the official tutorial video and follow it step by step. Ignore the negative feedback. I cannot review the longevity yet and the price is substantial, £17 per one film makes it most expensive, so for now I'm giving it five stars and time will tell.

Good quality for the most part and helpful for illustrators
Good quality and good function, protects from scratches but the surface wears off a bit. Easy to use though and fairly thick.

Finally I am using my Apple Pencil as it was intended
I have had three different Apple Pencils as the iPad has evolved but never used them to the full extent. I really wanted to use my iPads for note taking but did not get on with the feel of the pencil on either native glass or a laminated screen protector. I considered paying out for a Remarkable device but decided to give the iPad one more chance. I have an iPad Mini so decided to bite the bullet and try a Paperlike screen protector with it, mindful of the issues people have raised. In short, it worked and I liked it, used in conjunction with a Logitech crayon. More recently I decided to do the same with my iPad Pro and so far, I am very pleased. It gets used for recording random ideas and I find this much more intuitive than many of the typed notes and mind map apps that are available; I am using Goodnotes for the most part and doodling is a significant element of note taking. I do not find the textured surface to be detrimental to video playback or graphics apps, I have not noticed any significant reduction in quality, in fact it could be the poor man’s nanotextured display with the advantage that you can replace it - I understand that a Paperlike protector should last around 18 months. I have noticed that the screen is less reflective in direct light so from that point of view it is more friendly on the eye. The only thing I feel I need to do now is find the optimum tip for the Apple Pencil.Regarding issues with application…I have been fitting screen protectors of all types for over twenty years, even so…****ENSURE THAT YOU WATCH THE INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO****and follow it to the letter. Otherwise, so far so good.

Great screen quality, the worst application ever
Considering I'm pretty much almost flawless with all screen protector installations for all devices and materials, I struggled the most with this.Firstly, compared to the ESR paperfeel version, this is so much better. Closer to a matte screen protector. Doesn't distort images. However, for the price you pay -- you'd expect better installation.1. The backing is waaaay too soft and floppy. Because the ipad is large, it's harder to get the installation right. It'll bubble any way you do it. A stiffer backing would have helped by 100%.2. They could have added installation guides. It's big. It'll flop around. You need one end to anchor the screen protector. Have a look at ESR's way. It's flawless. As a result, I absolutely messed up the first one (ended up distorting the film) and then the second one had a billion bubbles, it took all of 3 seconds before I had to redo it and mess it up again.I would only really repurchase. this if the installation has been improved by adding the two things mentioned above. It's like driving a manual Mustang with the highest horsepower but you can only really drive a Honda Jazz automatic. Unless you've got magic hands or palms the size of an A3 paper, you'll struggle.

Very realistic paper feel and very easy application
slightly reduces the quality of the image on screen but that is expected from any textured screen protector. very clear instructions for application and has strong adhesion. The texture is very paperlike in my opinion and feels very nice to draw on. its overall function is solid and due to the clear instructions the alignment is easy to get right.
