I've had a totally opposite experience from some of the negative reviewers
I've had my SimPure for 15 months now. Here are my observations.I've seen negative reviews with people using water testers and getting negative results. My experience is just the opposite.Tap water - 109-129ppmBottled water - 29-32ppmSimpure - 9-13ppmI scratch my head at some of the one star reviews with complaints about things such as having to lift the reservoir to the sink to refill it. But of course you do, that's why you set it up next to the sink. If that's not possible, then maybe the SimPure isn't a good fit for your needs, but that's not the fault of SimPure and definitely not deserving of a 1 star review. Also, complaints about taking forever to filter the water and the amount of water filtered per container are not my experience at all. Once the reservoir is refilled, the filtering process takes about 4 minutes. Of course the amount of water you get is going to be less than you put in it because it's actually FILTERED. You pour the contaminated water down the drain whenever the unit tells you it's time to refill. I can get eight 16 oz. cups of filtered water between refills. I use it for drinking water, coffee and even my dog's water dish. In a household of 3 pretty heavy coffee drinkers, I have to refill the unit approximately every 1.5 days. For what I'm getting in return, I'm thrilled. The only weakness I've seen in the SimPure is that I believe it uses a predetermined number of uses before it flashes to change the filters. In my personal experience, the water purity levels remained the same for months afterward and I only replaced them when the levels started increasing. I would just reset the machine in the interim and it was like they never flashed at all.I live in an area with extreme PFAS contamination, due to a chemical plant next door that's been polluting the river with forever chemicals for decades. This reverse osmosis machine is a literal lifesaver for me and my family. This is hands down a machine worthy of 5 stars.

Love this system!
Highly recommend! I did a lot of research and this reverse osmosis countertop unit checked all the boxes for me. I went from living in a house where I had an under-sink system to an apartment where I couldn't mess with the plumbing, so I had high standards. This has a fairly fast flow rate. I was worried it would take too long to fill water bottles etc but it's really not bad. From what I've read of many other countertop systems, they take forever and produce a lot of waste water. The ratio of waste water is low for this machine and I appreciate that it only filters as it dispenses, meaning no second tank for holding the clean water is needed. Makes it less cumbersome and your clean water doesn't just sit in plastic until you use it. It takes a little while to go through the initial flushing process, so don't try to set this up when you're in a rush to get somewhere. I got the pitcher with the alkaline filter add on, and I'm so glad I did! PS you do not need to keep the alkaline filter piece on the top of the pitcher as you go through the initial flushing process. I told their customer support they should note this in the directions, and they confirmed they would update their manual to reflect this. No need to waste uses of your precious alk filter with the flushing water! If you drink a lot of water (which I do, about 100 ML per day) this machine is ideal for one or two people who are committed to refilling it as soon as the light pops on to change the water. I think if I lived in a household with someone who wouldn't refill it or with multiple people, it would get kind of frustrating. Note that most countertop units have small reservoir tanks, but this one seems to be just right for me. I recommend placing this right next to your sink like I did, because the reservoir is a little heavy to have to transport it across a kitchen multiple times per day.

Review after 10 months of use
Getting around to reviewing this filter. No regrets with this purchase if anything maybe should have considered checking if they sell larger ones because we use it so often and originally thought we just dont want to buy bottled water anymore. It's become an essential part of our kitchen. To drink water, to cook, for our pets, for ice, for coffee for nutmilk, oatmilk and juice (we have a machine that converts these ingredients just add water) Anyway the list goes on. It's an awesome machine and easy to use. Recently we changed the filters I probably should have changed them sooner once the change filter light started to blink but I saw somewhere online that when it does this It's at 90% and you'll get another light when it's on It's last leg. Well that never happened, I either got the information wrong or something. I replaced the filters (pretty easy just twist them off and twist the new ones in) and when I dumped the water out of the old ones I could see the calcium deposits and whatever else come out. There's no doubt the filters work just change them when you're supposed to. I also read a review saying the couldn't get the change filters light to turn off after replacing them. It's not that hard you have to do a long press, short press on them there's a video on YouTube and I'm sure it's in the manual just couldn't find it. I have called customer service before to know how to clean the machine before as well. I didn't really have trouble reaching anyone a lady helped me out. Also when the light says change water, you should. Youll see a few inches of water at the bottom of the tank but apparently you're suppose to dispose of it. I think that water reserve is part of what the filter gets rid of. So the water is "thicker." Dont keep refiltering the reserve itll shorten the life of your catrtridges and well its reserved for a reason its the stuff you dont wanna drink. Check the manual though I could be wrong. I'll usually dump it or use it for the plants or wash dishes with it. Anyway this machine will definitely pay for itself. Get it, you won't regret it.
