Great Controllers on their own!
So I'm gonna start off by saying that my 5 star is on the controllers functionality use. The controller works well with the Quest 2 that I've found, albeit the small issue with the WiFi function that should be fixed in an upcoming update (but was already fixed on the Quest Pro). Pros: * Benefits with off Camera accuracy quite well. Especially makes back-play much easier to deal with. * Despite being a hair heavier, in weight, it is actually lighter to me, possibly because of the ring. * Native rechargeable battery. Though we'll see how well that will be in months time. * These controllers come with a small recharge cradle. Cons: * 8-9 hours from full charge. * Charge Cradle is very small. * Charge cradle has a specific way of putting it on (i.e. doesn't make it easy to just place and go) * When not in use, still can drain a little. * Requires removing the Quest 2 controllers from the Quest 2 to put in the Quest Pro controllers. So why with the amount of stars for the amount of cons? Well, at their heart, it runs great. I don't have to worry about lighting for full functionality of the controllers which when in one room, the overhead light was so bright, you would think some kind of unknown experience is happening in the room if you looked through the window and it could get through most accessories for the headset for light leakage from the top. In another area, the lighting is too little and would require an infrared light to assist. Plus, if being done in the evening, the area was more echo-y so one could unintentionally wake up others in their rooms. So having these controllers eliminate lighting requirements outright. Plus, sometimes I wanted to look at different directions while firing in another (dual ranged weapons) or move around proper with melee based games and sometimes you need back blocks. While it works with the wrist strap, I would prefer having knuckle straps for throwing-based mechanics. There isn't really anything on the market that I've seen with enough confidence to say "Oh, let me try that" for having such grips. Also, it does come with a stylus for writing, but I haven't used anything that required it so not sure if its even gonna be useful for me. Overall, I still find this a great product. The hard part is justifying the cost if wanting to switch from the Quest 2 controllers. Yes, basically if you got a Quest 2 and got these, you're looking at more of an expense towards a custom PC. But I had my stuff long enough and figured I'd treat myself so the cost was fine for me.

Cool idea, poor performance
To start, I'm really experienced with VR and tend to try to fix things on my own before I write a review. I really wanted to like these, and they're pretty cool when they're working right. Problem is, they're really finicky and you'll often spend time fighting with them in the middle of your play session. One issue I have is that the controllers will often get "stuck" in a specific gesture, which is most noticeable in games like VRChat. The controllers constantly think I'm making the peace sign gesture, which is pretty disruptive as a dude that likes to emote with gestures. Another issue is that sometimes the controllers will lose tracking. Now I know this is to be expected with anything VR related, but it doesn't seem like regular tracking loss. For example, I reached downward in my well-lit room, the controllers had a very clear view without any blocked cameras, and suddenly my hands freeze in place. They'll rotate and make gestures, but stop being tracked. It takes a few minutes for the controllers to begin tracking again, or I have to turn them off and on. This happens probably 50% of the time I use them. Either way, a few minutes of frustration in the middle of your play session. They're cool when they work, but for such a premium product, I expected less issues. Why would I spend this money for a better experience, when the controllers just have a different set of issues than the ones they replace? I wish I could return these.

Woking flawless with quest 3
From a quest 3 user❤️ -First impressions- Hearing reviews from my friends of not getting these controllers because of tracking issues, overheating, going into sleep mode, etc, all of them having the quest pro. So, since I have the quest 3 and wanted to try them out, OMG game changer!!! Just by first touching them they feel really good quality. From a vrchat hardcore player these controllers are so worth it 100% especially now that they're cheaper. -Vrchat- I never loose tracking at any moment with these, even if my arms are resting they don't go into sleeping mode NEVER, with the last update of vrchat adding finger tracking to PCVR. I can also say that I can swith between pro controllers to hand tracking and vice-versa, without issues. -other games- Contractors showdown, beat saber, thrill of the fight, blade & sorcery, ELEVEN,and other games, overall yes I do feel tracking improvement and keep in mind these are heavier so at least for me make my gaming experience way more immersive. -conclusion/overall/recommendation- I can't say I was having tracking issues with my quest 3 controllers, it just the tracking range is not for me especially in vrchat where I move a lot and just doing a t pose or standing straight controllers were loosing tracking(range of cameras and my long arms), so was a lil annoying:/. For fps, aiming, pulling up inventory from your back pack, etc. Works extremely fluently too. So, Yes I highly recommend these controllers, again for quest 3, I don't think is worth it if you have a quest 2 anymore to be honest, with that money you can save up and upgrade to a quest 3. PS: I don't have any of the issues that quest pro people claim, overheating, going into sleep mode, etc. PS2: get the destek cb2 grips

It's Great but...
First the positives: These are amazing for what they're designed for, I no longer have to worry about loosing tracking while playing which greatly helps when I'm bringing my controllers near my face or behind me. However it does have a lot of drawbacks: •I spend over 4 hours trying to connect these to my quest 2 and had to use the help of 3 different forums to get them to update •They get stuck updating at 0% when first connecting them, the way I fixed it is: unpair and repair the controllers, restarting headset, factory resetting my controllers, booting my headset, then force updating my headset (while in headset; system>updates) and then it finally allowed it to connect and update •These will struggle to track unless you have lights on, even using base stations or infrared lights it will loose tracking and miscalibrate the position of the controllers until you restart them •Will turn off a few seconds after setting them down and will have tracking problems for a while until cameras can detect where they are again •Button sensors will mistake gestures a lot. Barely got the controllers 2 days ago and it constantly thinks I'm doing the peace sign gesture 24/7 unless I completely let go of my controllers •Will clog up your signals: I use Bluetooth headphones while I play and now my audio constantly cuts out while playing with these new controllers. I switched back to my old controllers and my Bluetooth had gone back to normal Overall, these controllers like very expensive children: they will be very difficult to work with and will unfortunately break other things (like Bluetooth) but are amazing when they actually work

Fantastic VR controllers
Okay so bought these being VERY worried with everyone else's review and I'm honestly so glad mine came in perfectly. Everything was in the box, no scratch, no drift no nothing. The controllers itself feel a little heavier then the meta quest 3 controllers, it makes sense they have built in batteries and cameras so they can track wherever I put them, even if my meta quest 3 headset can't see them. Genuinely feels really nice to hold on general and the buttons feel a tiny bit better then the meta quest 3 controllers. Of course everything else came with it was great to, especially the charger for controller AND the headset, that was nice to see. But overall these feel very sturdy, no sign of drift whatsoever, I'd say it's semi worth it ONLY because these are definitely expensive but everything about feel wonderful. I'd recommend a pair to someone who has a bit of extra cash and wants a nicer experience for VR

These controllers are garbage.
Okay look, for a quest user, these controllers seem great because it gives you the tracking you need to use your controllers as you want. Want to track behind you? You got it! Put your hands down by your side? Just fine! Want to lay down with them and put your hands above your head and still got tracking? Awesome! It does it! However, ALL quest pro controllers have TWO MAJOR FLAWS with them. 1. IT THINKS you are touching the triggers and/or joysticks when you aren't. 2. The controllers have an inactivity timer of one minute. So the first issue is that if you're playing a game, like VRChat, The controllers will think you are touching the triggers, making it to where you are forced to do a facial expression. This is awful, cuz using facial expressions is super important, and if you want to smile at someone, you cant, cuz the controllers think you are holding the controller triggers when you aren't even touching the controllers. This also happens with BOTH controllers. There is currently a support ticket about this issue, and EVERYONE has been instructed to reach out to support to RMA their controllers, and guess what, even the RMA'ed controllers still have the same issue. The only person who found a solution, was taking the controllers apart and removing a metal piece, which I don't advise, and will not do. 2nd, the inactivity timer. This inactivity timer is based on movement. So if you are laying down and chatting with your friends, and got your hands to your side, or above your head, if you aren't moving the controllers, they will DISCONNECT. This is so annoying because now your hands will FLY OFF somewhere because they are no longer connected, and the only way to KEEP them connected is to move the controller. Mind you, I said the keyword MOVE. The buttons DO NOT RESET THE TIMER. These controllers are GARBAGE for what they cost. You are LITERALLY better off buying two basestations, and buying refurbished index controllers than these. Save your money, unless you are REALLY desperate for having tracking behind you, below you, and above you.

Premium Feel, Accurate and Pricy
I can't say they're worth 299.99. But they sure are nice. Feel like an Elite Xbox Controller in your hands. I wouldn't hand these to the little kids. I let them use the originals. Some people are griping about the time it takes the headset to recognize the controllers. I would say as of 1/30/2024 with my Meta Quest 3 after a quick pairing and firmware update. Mines are connecting instant. Less than 2 seconds. I can feel the tracking is more precise. It's a shame no developers probably won't take advantage of the tech in the Oculus Touch Pro. Another gripe some people are saying it hard to put them on their charging base. For me this isn't an issue. I can find the charging port pretty quick each time. Now the last gripe I can validate is that I don't think you can have the old and these paired at the same time. I only tried once to do both controllers.
