Estée Lauder Double Wear Long-Lasting Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara, 6 ml

I was fed up of greasy cheap mascaras that gave me panda eyes after a few hours of wear (I get dry eyes so I tend to blink a lot!) I read that "tubing madcara" is the best smudge-proof option and this is my favourite so far and is worth spending an extra few pounds on. It has a nice consistency and isn't clumpy, the brush is a pretty standard size and shape, nothing gimmicky here, and it's easy to apply a few swipes for even coverage and lengthening/thickening effect. It's dry within minutes and then your set for all day smudge-proof wear. It's super easy to remove with water alone... maybe not great if you get caught in a downpour but that's the only downside I can think of!

Over the years I have tried different mascaras at different prices and all claiming to be waterproof. Indeed, one even said could be worn while swimming. Each time I bought one I would usually wear once and then discard as I would inevitably end up with panda eyes within a couple of hours! At the beginning of lockdown I decided to try one more brand, knowing that I wasn't having to go out and so didn't have to worry about my mascara running! So I decided to try the Estee Lauder double wear zero smudge mascara, knowing that if it didn't work for me I could at least pass it on to one of my daughters and so the money would not have been wasted. In fact, I've found it a really great mascara, easy to apply, quite easy to remove and looks good, accentuating the lashes without clogging. Best of all - no smudges! My sister was so impressed on seeing the results that she has bought one for herself and is as pleased as I am with the product. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone who finds that their usual mascara smudges.

Really good. Used before so purchased again, looks neat on, no smudges, no clumping and defines and lengthens lashes. Experience but worth the money when you are too grown to be having messy looking make up.

I liked this mascara

I have quite watery eyes and I’ve spent my whole adult life looking for a mascara that didn’t leave me with panda eyes. I’ve even paid make up artists for their help and advice it bothered me so much. I’ve bought every waterproof mascara in the market, from cheap ones to the most expensive. This mascara has changed my life, and if you think I’m exaggerating you’ve not felt the frustration of putting a full face of make up for a night out and seeing it ruined 10 minutes later by mascara all over your under eye area, or checking your make up on your way to work only to realise your mascara is half way down your face on the train already. The interesting thing is that it’s removed by warm water, seems counterintuitive, but it’s super easy. This mascara stays put only where you lay it, I’ve not had a single smudge, no sign of even the mildest panda eye and no paranoia needing to check all the time, it simply doesn’t budge. I never thought I’d find it, so if you struggle like I did, look no further, this mascara is beyond magical.

I have very fine eye lashes and hoped for some definition. Unfortunately not to be, so disappointing for me. Application and removal is easy and it does not smudge which are plus points.

I've been a recent user of this mascara and absolutely love it! It consistently delivers long, thick lashes without any smudging, completely avoiding the dreaded raccoon eyes. After experimenting with numerous brands, this is the only mascara I now use. I highly recommend this mascara to anyone looking for reliable, beautiful lash enhancement. After my usual perfect mascara changed their formula, and it was not so perfect anymore, I have been searching for over a year for a replacement. And here it is, this little beauty, perfect in every way. It does not smudge, smear or flake and truly lasts all day. It goes on well, you will need couple of applications, but gives you nice looking longer lashes. It will not give you fibre build up lashes that make you look like you have a tarantula on each eye, but that is why it stays put. The fibre mascara's that promise fake looking lashes will flake and clump at the end of the day, I have tried them all. The product is expensive but so worth it, especially when I think of how much I have spent for my search!
