Mike Venezia captures a child's interest with his creative style and amusing illustrations in these wonderful books that tells the story of a particular artists life. Written so that a child is engaged and will return to read the story again and again. I've have purchased several of Mr Venezias books and am never disappointed. Well done.

I ran into this book at the Palazzo Strozzi museum in Florence, Italy. The museum had a kids program geared to primary thru lower secondary schools and this was one of the books the teachers used. Bought some for our gkids and kept one for myself. Kind of fun for an adult too, especially for an art dunce like me. Nice book.

Got for my 10yr old who loves art. Written to relate on kids level with lots of factual information. He really enjoys it.

We are headed to Italy with our 4 and 6 year old and we wanted them to have some knowledge and recognition going in to the trip. All of Mike Venezia's books are informative and FUNNY. The kids love them.

Another wonderful addition to the Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists by the extremely talented Mike Venezia. I love all the bits of information this series gives on not only the artist but also the art scene and life at that time where the artist lived. This book has numerous pictures of Botticelli's work and humorous cartoon illustrations that humanized this remarkable artists.
