Petmate Self Warming Cat Bed, 19-Inch

I have tried a few beds with my cat, but each time had to return them as he showed no interest at all in them. I decided to try this one as I liked the fleece lining and the sturdy look of the bed and hoped my cat would too, as he is accustomed to sleeping on a fleece blanket already. At first, he looked at this bed, then walked away, however at my own bedtime, I put his bed on mine and he immediately jumped in, settled down and slept for hours and hours. It was amazing! It is the perfect size for him too. He curled up with room to spare (He is a pretty petite, 4.5kg adult cat) I would highly recommend this bed to any cat mum or dad. It's very well made and very cosy for your furbaby!

The Pet Mate 19-inch Cat Bed is attractive, cosy, and warm, both our cats love them and use them every day. They have polyester fiber filling inside which insulates against cold surfaces that they might be on. 48cm or 19-inch diameter is adequate for most cats. Our larger male cat is 5.2kg and the bed is large enough. The Pet Mate is good quality, machine wash on cool, delicate wash. It is all polyester material. I highly recommend them and would buy them again if our ones got too worn out. We will probably get a third one, so our cats have somewhere else that is really nice to lay, in when in the outside conservatory.

Looks good but the box came open and the bed has got black /grey ,mud/dirt on it ! Obviously from transit getting thrown around so clearly no care given to the parcel by EVRI In transit not really the sellers fault though sure my nearly 20 year old cat will love it once I've washed it

I have the fussiest old boy ever, and I bought this bed hoping it would help his arthritis (he's nearly 17), and him not be as stiff. He has resoundingly refused most other comfy spots and beds I have made for him, so I didn't hold out much hope for this, but he showed interest quickly and was firmly entrenched in it within half a day! The bed does actually stay quite warm, and it's very soft and squishy. He really loves it. I'm thinking I'll buy another for downstairs, this one is in my studio where he spends most of his time. I don't know how well the padding will hold up over time, but already I'm feeling this was the best buy I could have made for him! For size guide- he's quite a big cat, but only 3.6kg now, this bed (19") fits beautifully with some room to spare. I don't usually write reviews but this was so great I had to!

It is a nice cat bed and Mr Fluff is a big fan, but the base could be of a tougher fabric as it is a little fragile. The warm fluffy inner lining is great.

One of my cats is very much an outdoor cat & rarely comes into the house to sleep. We’ve already got 2 cat kennels with cat beds in outside but we wanted something that would keep her warm now winter was approaching. This bed was slightly smaller than I’d imagined but fits the cat kennel really well & I can hardly get my cat out of it! It looks good quality & very comfy. Whenever she comes into the house she’s always toasty warm. It has a slight crinkle/rustle to it but not really noticeable & it certainly hasn’t bothered her. It’s given us peace of mind that she’s warm (she will come in when it gets really cold) now the nights are getting colder. Would definitely buy again either as a replacement or for the other cat kennel.

I bought this bed for my large 20 lb. cat who likes to sprawl lengthwise in the bed but also likes the side ridges to use as a pillow, so he could lay in the medium sized dog kennel that he has appropriated for his use. The kennel gets the breeze from the air vents and I was worried he was getting too cold when the Air Conditioner was running when he would go in there to sleep on the thick quilted stuffed pad I had in there for him. My cat has another larger cat bed in the rec room and uses the dogs large thick pad as well but he also like to sleep in the kennel (the door is open) The bed just fits nicely (I put it on top of the thick pad I had in there for him, the bed is a little shorter lengthwise) as the dog and cat share a water bowl in there attached to the side of the kennel so I had to allow room for the dish. My cat seems to like the bed as I will find him sleeping in it off and on. It is supper soft and my cat seems to like that he can lay on the side (width wise) and look out as the sides do compress but with a little shake of the bed go back into place. I have not washed it yet but I will be careful as I suspect the lining fluff will bunch up like most beds even on delicate in the washer ... I may just hand wash it and air dry it when needed. My cat will lay in the bed he takes up the entire bed, but he seems happy with it and that is what I wanted. It does not have a crinkly sound, but that would not bother my cat if it did. I hope to get a lot of use out of it and hope the reflective properties will work well in the winter. Both my cat and I are very happy with this bed.

As soon as my kitty discovered the retained heat & coziness of this bed, she loved it. Barely leaves it now. Other reviews mentioned that the bottom of the bed (foil) is noisy, but I hardly noticed and neither did my picky cat! Great bed! An awesome trick I read in previous reviews; if your cat doesn’t seem interested or leaves the bed right away, take a blow dryer and blast some heat on it for a bit. As soon as I placed her inside it after warming it up, she laid down almost immediately!

My older cat loves this bed, especially in the winter. Keeps her warm and allows for her to stretch out.
