Excellent value for money
I'm not a big reviewer of purchases, however I felt compelled to leave a review for this kit. I bought it on a bit of a whim as I needed it to change the brakes on my wife's car. The reviews seemed reasonable and against similar size kits the price is excellent. The kit contained everything I needed for the job, and also held up extremely well despite me putting it through it's paces to remove some very stubborn bolts. I'd agree with what others have said in that the box itself isn't perfect and things in the upper part tend to fall out. However, I'm more than happy to overlook that minor issue given the quality of the kit overall.

Impressive precision Quality.
The case containing this kit is a huge but very impressive typical German monster containing a varied compendium of everything a DIY car mechanic could possibly require. The weight indicates that for the price, you've chosen something very special. The quality of the bits and the machined finishing of the sockets, the spanners, and the ratched wrenches is first class, and the fit of the sockets upon the extension shafts is precise and very tight, with no loose play on the joints here. For those of you who dont know the name Mannesman, let me reasure you that you are buying a top quality spec tool set. Everything you use feels class, and the range of bits will see you provided with every size you will ever come across. I used this outfit to remove a gearbox and replace a clutch, and every nut and bolt were catered for when it came to the sockets. In summery my advice is clear, if you want a quality kit built to last a lifetime, then pay the price and buy this kit, you will not be disappointed. Its like the difference between a Trabant and a BMW, this kit is worth every penny and is simply superb.

Great set except the small alan/torque bits are made of chocolate.
I've had this set since 2016 and figure its time to write a review. This is a great set for the price, the sockets, spanners and ratchets are amazing. They hold up to very high torques not just from arm pressure buy also I've had socket bits on torque guns and they've held up fine. The case itself is OK, it holds the tools perfect and as long as you open it the correct way no sockets will fall out. The issue is partly down to user error but also design choice. The latches which hold the case together are in a poor place and all 4 of my latches are now broken. They hang over the edge once the case is opened and when the set is near you, there is a high chance of miss-placing a foot and breaking the latch. Of course this is down to user error but I don't want to be walking 20ft just to get a new tool. If they had the latches on the top, then once opened they would be at the furthest place from your work area meaning the chance to break one is much smaller. The other issue is the small alan and torque bits. They are VERY brittle and will either shear right at the end or crack at each spline. I was removing a torque screw a few days ago from a caliper which has a torque setting of 32nm and sheared one of these right at the end, 32nm is no pressure at all and it broke way before I reached this (using a torque wrench). I've broken around 6 of the alan/torque bits and pretty much stopped using them unless I have to.The other thing I've noticed is the sockets and spanners are very corrosive resistant, I've used them in wet and cold and see no signs of corrosion/rust. However, the alan bits have rust on them and I barely use them due to the issue above. My advice, buy the set, bin the alan and torque bits along with the case and buy an old metal toolbox with some decent alan keys and torque bits.
