My almost five year old is dry at night after just a week!
My son is almost five and, although he has been dry during the day since he was about two, we've struggled to get him dry at night because he is an incredibly deep sleeper. His nappies were so wet in the morning that they'd often soaked through. This alarm felt like a last resort, and I was sceptical that it would work. The idea of the alarm is that it trains the brain to wake up your little one when they start to wee in the night, by vibrating and making a loud noise; this stops them mid-wee and then they're meant to go to the toilet to finish. It was loud enough to wake us up too, so we were able to get up and help him. My son wasn't keen on the alarm for the first couple of nights and he refused to go to sleep wearing it, but he's such a deep sleeper that we were able to attach it to him once he'd fallen asleep. It worked amazingly well - it's so sensitive that it sets off at the very first sign of moisture, and we could hurry him (calmly) to the loo to finish off. We've only had this alarm for a week and he's already had two completely dry nights in a row! In fact, on these two nights, he woke up (once at 4am, then this morning at 7am), took himself to the loo, and went back to bed. So his brain is obviously now recognising the signal and successfully waking him up. It has blown my mind! There's a bit of trial and error to it. The clip itself is fiddly to get on, but once you've got the knack of it, it's fine. The wire was too long in our opinion; you're meant to feed it through the pyjama top and then attach the alarm to their arm, but there was still excess wire and we were worried about it going around his neck. Simple fix: we trained the wire down his trouser leg instead, and fixed the alarm to his ankle. Here's what we did / my tips: 1) Wait till they're sleeping to attach the alarm 2) Use pants, not nappies or pull ups. 3) Buy at least two mattress protectors, we used these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B8P3L95K?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details 4) Explain everything to them first. Do practise runs with the alarm before they go to bed (you can set it off by licking your finger and touching the alarm), it'll get them used to the noise and know what to do when it goes off in the night 5) When it goes off, get up with them and take them to the toilet to finish their wee, and stay really calm 6) Have lots of spare pyjama bottoms and pants at the ready. Change them into fresh PJs and pants (pro tip: attach the clip to their pants before putting them on, it's much less fiddly!) 7) Get them back into bed, with a fresh mattress protector if needed 8) Repeat as needed! 9) Give them loads of praise in the morning, even if it was a bit rocky. The alarm comes with a pack of stickers. We said to my son that for every three sunshine (i.e. success) stickers - they didn't have to be in a row - he'd get some chocolate 10) Don't forget to buy them the chocolate!! :-D I'm only putting so much effort into this review because the product is genuinely amazing and effective, and I also know how stressful getting your kids dry at night can be. Hope this is useful. Good luck!

It just worked, 5yr old completely dry!
This little alarm just did the job. Long review but as others have said, it's great to have advice on this subject! I read the reviews which seemed positive. The alarm itself is smaller than I expected (a good thing) so it was not cumbersome - I clipped it to my 5yr olds pj bottoms. Its not the most hi-tech thing ever but in a way I think this helps the price stay sensible and it worked brilliantly. We tried since around 3 then really tried from 4 for dry nights. She was completely dry in the day but would have a heavy wet nappy every morning without fail. I partly believed my daughter was just lazy when she woke up (she is known in our family as 'lady muck'!) but I realised since using this she genuinely would wee in her sleep as the alarm would go off in the middle of the night and she seemed to be dead to the world. It's super sensitive and catches the second there is wetness which helps. I worried my daughter might freak out about it or refuse to wear it, but she was fully on board (we made it an exciting thing and lots of praise and a laugh with her big sister) and other than being a little startled the first couple of times it went off, she was improved within a week, almost dry within two (couple of dribbles) then completely dry after that. We were very strict with it (as in, didn't skip any nights even if we stayed with grandma etc) and I made sure to quietly get up with her, finish her wee on the toilet and change pants if needed (We started using pads in the bed but they just got scrumpled, then used pull ups over knickers with the alarm attached to the knickers, as we had a few leaks in the bed here and there). The sensor clip, wire and device didn't seem to bother her at all. Great device! I have a dry little girl, good luck!

Worked for an older child slow to get dry at night
I feel I have to leave a review for this product in case any other parents are struggling/frustrating and at a loss like we were. Our son is out first child and he is literally just about to turn 7 and we've had barely any nights where he's been dry. We've tried everything. He's been in pull ups for a long time and there have never been any signs of being dry at night. We removed the nappies to get the wet feeling and it just ended up with lots of bedwetting and changing during the night, embarrassment and just exhaustion all round. We've previously sought Dr's help as he was unable to hold the toilet for long periods during the day and at school but he's quite an anxious child. Before seeking help this time we of course googled it and these alarms came up. We went on reviews and this on is amazing. I needed something that would wake him as he's a deep sleeper. This one is pretty loud, we have it on full volume but can be amended and we also put the vibrate on. He wears it on his wrist and we do knot the cable because it did go round his neck one night which scared me. He can't clip it on himself as its a bit fiddly so just bear in mind you may have to get up in the night and help. (My partner didn't want to do this so this could be a negative.. he wanted our son to be able to do it himself. But if you're happy to help then that's fine.) The clip is good and stays in place all night. It only took about 2 weeks for him to start going dry at night .. We've had a few frustrations and ups and downs but as I say hes almost 7 so his body is very set in its ways. So far now we've had several weeks now of being totally dry. Honestly I can't recommend this enough. It needs support and commitment but that's what any parent should be prepared to offer their child. My son now doesn't wear it at all and is super proud of himself as are we. Its been a long slog but he's done it and the sticker chart was fantastic too. A real incentive. For the price as well this is good value and nothing compared to the hundreds of pounds some others I've heard of cost. It's also saved us an embarrassing and shaming visit to the Dr's which thankfully we haven't had to put him through. Highly recommended.

I'm a Believer!... Best purchase and should have done sooner!
After reading 500+ reviews as a non-believer, I bought this for our Son who was day trained (@ 2.5 years) but never dry a night at 5.5years.. His Sister was trained in week at 3 so pressure was on him and we had already tried everything and were beginning to believe there was no hope.. We went cold turkey- no Pull ups and first 3 nights were Hell on Earth..!! He was Wet 3-4 times a night with alarm screaming - we used max volume/vibration.. You need to invest the time in this for it to work(worse than a New Born)- we took holidays and I got up every time.. Despite being a very heavy sleeper it woke him and me in next room but not the other kids- they slept thru it.. by night 4 he was able to stop to just a dribble and finish in the toilet.. by night 7 he was getting up 2-3 times per night and going himself with no alarm... by night 10 he has increased capacity and is getting up twice per night on his own.. We are dry now 9 nights since but he still goes before alarm. We are truly shocked with how well this worked as we could never get him to get up an go as he obviously has a small bladder... Tips that helped us 1. Layer sheets/protectors at night and have several PJs/pants ready- F1 Pit stop ready! 2. Always dry him after toilet as even damp sets off alarm- Paper to the ready! 3. Stay with or close to him and leave lots of lights on dim- they will need your help to get alarm back on. 4. We had him drink 3-4 glasses of water in mornings and hold as long as possible to grow his capacity to hold- we limited just a bit in evenings but not much.. made him go twice before bed. 5. Wire inside PJs for Safety- its long but not a safety issue inside his top. 6. Hold down the reset to stop it screaming while fiddling to get clip off pants- Don’t show them this! In terms of alarm itself - its loud with good vibrate and as said by many attachment is tricky but manageable and always works ( It has to stay in place)- Get used to it first as learning at 3 am from deep sleep is not the time. My son rolls like mad in his sleep so the alarm is roughing his skin around the neck a bit but he is not complaining of it - possibly some rounding of clamps can help.. we preferred neck of top to arm as closer to ear for max impact. I would recommend this to anyone.. it’s a great product at a great price.. Thank you for saving our son and making me a believer :-)

Worth a try, worked for my 6 year old
Bought this product after a recommendation from a friend. She bought a more expensive one and I was not keen to spend as much. Have a 6 yr old who has been dry in day since 2 but struggled with nights. Refused nappies for a year so have been lifting (with 90% success) but if left for the night he would always have an accident. Decided to try this product. It’s quite bulky once around the arm and the wire has to go under PJ’s and sensor clips onto pants (under pj bottoms which took some persuading). He wasn’t that keen on the whole thing but agreed finally to try it. First 3 nights alarm went off. It’s very loud and woke me up but only stirred him, unbelievable! I went in and he was half awake and didn’t know what the alarm was! I reminded him and he got up and stumbled to the loo. Repeat same for 2 more nights but only a tiny amount of wee in PJ’s as he stopped each time. To be honest I think it gave him such a fright that he stopped weeing! Nights 4-6 were wee/alarm free, night 7 a full on accident, nights 8-15 dry and so it continued. No lifting, only 2 accidents since night 8 and we are now 3 months down and all good. No lifting, consistently dry and the main thing is that he’s very happy and pleased to have stopped having accidents. Overall would recommend, if I wanted to spend more I’d go for a wireless one to avoid the irritation of the wire up the PJ’s but with a bit of bribery and treats he got used to it! So glad we finally chose this option. Def worked for us and worth a go.

I was cynical but proven wrong - huge success!
I felt cynical about this and the reviews were mixed but I was running out of options and the GP advised trying an alarm before a medical route. My 5 year old had never had a dry night. He would need 2 pull ups at once each night and would often leak as well. I didn’t want to massively limit his fluid intake at bedtime and also made him have a couple trips to the toilet before going to sleep. The GP also advised finding out his routine could be helpful as most people tend to need the toilet at similar times each night. We bit the bullet and went for it! Night 1 the alarm woke him as he began urinating and he went to the toilet and then slept the rest of the night without another episode. Night 2 was the same. Both nights it was a trickle and shocked him into stopping and holding it so we only needed to change his underpants and pyjama bottoms. Bed was completely dry! Night 3 he woke before the alarm to go to the toilet and has done every night since. We haven’t restricted his fluid intake and one evening he had been at sports practice and drank ALOT not long before bed. We are shocked but also blown away at the success and how quickly this has worked. I would definitely recommend trying this. We are 8 nights dry and will complete the recommended 14 consecutive nights before stopping and should be dry before the end of the school holidays. Which is perfect timing. I would add I didn’t realise there was a volume control and it was super loud and scared the whole house to death the 2 nights it went off. Big mistake, but this may have also contributed to the success and his desire to beat the scary buzzer!!!

Amazing product
This alarm really does live up to the reviews. I was sceptical when I purchased it but after only 10 days of use my 6 year old has been dry throughout the night, not only at home but on holiday and staying at relatives houses as well. Prior to using the alarm, we had only had a handful of dry nights in 6 years, so the improvement, not only for my child but for the family as a whole, has been incredible. I was conscious of letting my child stay at other houses because of the bed wetting and not wanting them to get upset but this is no longer an issue. The alarm itself is easy to set up and use, the only negative would be the length of the clip wire. We didn't like the idea of having the alarm clipped to pyjama tops (due to the length of the clip wire), so we attached it to a sock instead and it worked perfectly. The alarm volume and vibration settings can be adjusted, so being attached to a sock made no difference to my child waking up. This alarm is definitely one of the best purchases I've made, well worth the money. I would recommend it to anyone.

A great little device
I read the reviews for this product and was extremely hopeful it could help my little boy age 6 who had barely ever had a dry night and I’d be had it was random. He never woke in the night to use the toilet. We started the waking him method but it never worked he would still wake up wet and it felt cruel. I saw this product and thought I would give it a go. The alarm was loud enough to wake him and us he would get out of bed finish off his wee, we would change him and he got back in bed. He only ever wet once a night and the amount got less and less which was great. During week 2 he had a couple of dry nights which was amazing!! I had read some reviews which said by week 3 they had cracked it. This hasn’t been the case for my son. During the 12 weeks he had spouts of dryness the longest he went for was 3 weeks and we were so happy but then he would have random wet nights still. I think it’s prudent to remember that your child isn’t going to be the same as others and positive results for them are still amazing. We are beyond the 12 weeks now and he went almost 4 weeks this time. Unfortunately he got a bad cold and he was wet for 2 nights. However we will continue and this is a mark difference and we are on the right path and the alarm has worked wonders. I am very hopeful that soon he will be dry all the time 😌 Word of advice from me is to also buy the bed wetting shorts. They button at the bottom and don’t leak into their bed, so an easy change during the night!! They are comfortable too which helps. Good luck to anyone starting on the journey it’s worth it to see your child so happy about having dry nights!
