Did exactly what I wanted and needed

Our backyard is basically a deck with large Koi ponds. I have rock speakers located on the ground in the four corners. Next to the yard is my workshop. Of course, I have four speakers in it, and some spares sitting around, not hooked up. My wires were all wire nutted up together, so I could get all speakers to work from the two channel receiver in the shop. Problems, of course, arrived when I wanted to use my receiver for the TV to power my speakers in the shop. The neighbors don't need to hear that. I could also not listen to the volume of music I wanted to in the shop without the cops being called by the neighbors. This box is a heavy, well built box, loaded with many more electronics than I expected. It is the same width as most receivers, and about half as deep. It allows me to lower the volume of select pairs of speakers, or even split the pairs into their own channel, so I can now get full surround sound, even when I'm grilling in one corner of the backyard. It has selectors for amp A or B for each speaker pair, so I can actually listen to music outdoors, while the TV is on the speakers indoors. All through one speaker selector box. You just need a second amp. I lucked out, as Amazon had a returned unit for half price in the warehouse. After 10 years of listening to my music with the limitations I listed, I'm ecstatic. Thanks guys for the great engineering!

Awesome product. Provides great flexibility. I have two zones set up with two sets of speakers in each zone. One zone is inside the house and the other zone is outside with an in ground and wall speakers. I still have outputs for two more sets of speakers for the basement or other area. Each zone has two sets of speakers and the volume controls allow me to perfectly balance the sound so the neither set of speaker drowns out the other. In addition, I have a two zone receiver and can have different music in each of the two zones by using the A/B source selector. Very impressed with the Pyle 6 channel Speaker Selector and was pleasantly surprised to see the device is completely passive with no external power cord to worry about. Very well done Pyle Audio.

I am by no means a home audio expert... but... The description states: Handles 100Watts Per Channel with Speaker Systems that have a Minimum Impedance of 8 Ohms I read this as the lowest it would drop the impedance is 8 Ohms, which my receiver is capable of. After opening the item, the manual states it will drop the impedance to 1.7 with all 6 speakers operating. If your receiver can only handle 8 Ohms +/- a little, you should only select one set of speakers. If you can only run 1, maybe two sets of speakers, why not just use the A/B selector on the receiver. This doesn't really fit my need of wanting a whole home audio system that I usually have 4 or 5 of the speakers on at once. The build quality seems good, not cheap feeling. Volume sensitivity is great and it is a good looking unit. I am disappointed it won't work for me. I called Pyle to make sure I was reading the directions and description right. He told me yes, and that if I wanted to run all 6 sets of speakers at once, I would need a receiver or amp capable of less than 2 Ohms. I was hoping Pyle did make an impedance matching selector version of this unit, but he stated no. In summary: Do your research, don't assume your receiver will be ok. Learn about impedance minimums and matching selectors. This unit will be great if you want music on your deck, then turn that off and turn it on in your kitchen, then turn that off when you go into the living room... that's just not what I wanted.. It annoys me when people leave a 1 star review if a item works fine, but doesn't fit their need.. I do believe this is quality unit, therefore 4 stars, but the description could be a little better.... kind of misleading. This is just my take on the set up... I could be way off though...

Replaced my 19 yr old Niles zone box with this one. Installation was a breeze, exactly like Niles. Sound quality is very good and volume control is super user friendly. Very happy with the purchase.

A bit of a challenge to setup, and once I had it all done correctly, the unit was defective. Severe attenuation, and even at max levels on my receiver and this product, the sound was faint. I’d pass on this product.

Use this on my golf cart. Pairs easily with my iPhone for listening to music on the course downloaded from Amazon music. Never thought I would listen to music on the course but does come in handy on these long rounds waiting and waiting to play a shot. Sound quality is good and would highly recommend if you do not want to spend $500 on a sound bar for your cart.

I needed to independently control the volume on 6 different speaker pairs run off of one receiver for different zones in the house. You can adjust the overall volume and also at the same time adjust each zone volume separately. You can also turn off each zone independently as well.

Ich habe für eine bestehende Lautsprecheranlage einen Splitter gesucht, der aus einer Quelle mehrere Lutsprecherpaare in unterschiedlichen Räumen versorgt und dabei ermöglicht die Lautstärke je LS-paar zu regeln. Der pspvc6 kam gut verpackt in einwandfreiem Zustand an. Er ist sauber verarbeitet (soweit von aussen erkennbar) und solide ausgeführt. Er ist verhältnismässig schwer, aber dadurch steht er trotz der vielen Kabel nahezu unverrückbar. Der Anschluß war sehr einfach zu erledigen. Eine Stromversorgung wird nicht benötigt. Die Funktion der Versorgung mehrerer Lautsprecherpaare in verschiedenen Räumen erledigt er einwandfrei.

Easy to set up and works well

Absolutely brilliant. Sound is excellent and easy connections. Would have been even more better if had a remote control for changing and adjusting speaker volume.

Ein sehr hochwertiges Gerät, was im Hotel zum Einsatz kommen wird. Lautstärkenregulieren mit Rasterstellpotis, sehr von Vorteil gegn unbebasichtiges verstellen. Klasse das passt.
