The rich rancher Vincent Bronson has the say in the town of Sabbath. When he and his drunken cowboys ion Bannack accidentally shoot an old man, of course, everyone knows that this was an accident - everyone except Bannack's Marshall, Jered Maddox. An incorruptible advocate of law and law, he is shot to bring the killers to court.
