Pick this one (not the Q8 Plus)
I’ve now rigorously tested the Sofirn Q8 Plus alongside the Q8 Pro, and here are my findings. Both torches are impressively powerful — they easily throw light a hundred metres or more across a park, which is really as far as anyone would ever need to see. In that sense, the Q8 Plus feels like overkill. It’s so bright that when you shine it on anything nearby, the reflected light can actually hurt your eyes — even something as simple as a bush. The beam is almost too intense for close-range use. Another issue is heat: on the higher settings, the Q8 Plus becomes extremely hot, to the point where it’s actually uncomfortable to hold. I thought that might be welcome in cold weather, but it’s not — it’s just too hot to handle for long. What also becomes frustrating is the interface. The Q8 Plus doesn’t default to its high mode when you switch it on — you have to double-press the button twice to get maximum brightness. It sounds small, but it quickly becomes annoying. The Q8 Pro, on the other hand, jumps straight to full power with just one double-press, which feels far more intuitive. Lastly, the weight difference between the two models is noticeable. The Q8 Pro is a pleasure to carry — solid but comfortable in the hand. The Q8 Plus, by contrast, feels bulky and cumbersome, especially over time. Overall, while the Q8 Plus is technically more powerful, the Q8 Pro strikes a far better balance between brightness, usability, and comfort. Unless you specifically need that extra output (and can tolerate the heat and weight), the Q8 Pro is the more practical and enjoyable torch.

Excellent powerful torch
The Sofirn Q8 Pro offers excellent value for what you get. It delivers massive brightness, modern features (USB-C, power bank), and a well-specified build. For the price it punches well above its weight. The compromises (size/weight, flood-beam profile, UI complexity) are real but understandable given the class.

Super bright, usual Sofirn build quality
This is my second unit from Sofirn (I have an SC31 Pro as well). I am used to the excellent build quality and beam quality, and the Q8 Pro is no exception. More of a flood-y light, this illuminates a vast area but also throws a respectable amount. Excellent for dark walks and camping thanks to its USB C input and output (it can charge your phone at a decent rate - 5V/2.1A). Seems very weather sealed, with the USB C input covered by a thick, heavy duty rubber seal. It's survived a hefty drop so far with barely a scratch - I can see this lasting a very long time. The Anduril UI is feature packed but basic if you'd rather it be. Don't hesitate to buy anything from Sofirn - I really can't find a fault, especially for the price.

Quality from Sofirn
Its exceptional build quality and performance matches whats claimed in the products description, if you want a powerful super bright torch that doubles up as a power bank that can actually charge your phone at more than 0.5amps, that comes with litium rechargeable batteries (dont be that fool who tries them in an ecig they are not made for that) its worth every penny. So many cheap torches that claim "super bright" and "high lumens" or "10000 lumens" this torch delivers a genuine 11000 lumens (turbo) but even with the torch dimming from turbo its still much brighter than those cheaper weird branded torches no one can find independent reviews for. This is my third Sofirn torch not cause the other Sofirn torches are not as good as they all perform exceptionally well for their price and build quality but because "why not", Sofirn is a name you can trust and if in doubt there are plenty of independent review videos on youtube.

Heavy bulky torch
It is a really powerful torch, but it is a bit heavy and bulky to take around with you, it is very well built and quality made, if you don't mind the weight and bulk of it you have a really good torch here with so many options to use on it..

Wow what a torch
Again only just got this torch. If you like torches then this is the one you need, it’s awesome. Saying it’s bright is an understatement. If you like technology and adjusting things this will have you entertained for hours if not says. You can simulate lightning, a candlelight night. Even an auto SOS beacon, It is Jamie’s magic torch. But if that’s not for you. It turns on and off too. A great product and now affordable.
