Very pretty and comfi. I love it. I prepared it with some leather conditionner for 1 day after I received it. I ride it yesterday but only 20km and I find it very comfortable.

Dear Reader Due to a Neurological Condition I am housebound. As part of my therapy programme I have been prescribed an exercise regime. The Exercise Bike I use is great, but the seat I got with it is a bit well...hard on the Bum to put it mildly and made using it uncomfortable. I bought a replacement which was fine for a while until the gel in that Saddle gave up the ghost and then back to the pain in the bottom scenario. Prior to becoming ill I cycled quite a bit on a Dawes Super Galaxy with a Brooks Saddle. I had that bike for the best part of 15 years. And in all that time, once the Saddle had been ridden in, I never had an uncomfortable ride due to botty pain. So yes, I use it for an exercise bike, so what. Have used it daily since purchase and there is now comfort on my up to 2 Hourly sessions on the exercise machine. If I ever get well and can ride a road bike again, I'm having Brooks Fitted.

It took rather more than the recommended break in time to get comfortable but it's fine now, looks and feels superb....I swap it between my Brompton and a vintage Dawes...looks great on either. You do have to look after it though ....so order a tin of proofride....(you get a sachet with the saddle, which is enough to get started ). The saddle developed a disconcerting range of creaks after a few rides ....the solution is to smear a bit of proofride round the points where metal meets saddle and run a hairdryer over it for a few seconds ....if you put too much on it'll bleed through to the top of the saddle and show as a dark patch (It will dissipate over time).I'm told it's not a good idea to mess with the adjusting bolt . So...lovely classic product but it needs a bit of looking after !!

Very comfortable straight out of the box. Installed it on my Cannondale hybrid bike and no more sore bottoms. I can ride whole day with no discomfort.

I you've never used a Brooks saddle as you've heard all the bad things about comfort and breaking in then just take the plunge as they are so much better than people think. Comfort, longevity and great looks for very little money. Don't forget to get the saddle proofer though at the same time as you will need it.

The brooks b17 is very much like a pair of DMs in that it’s leather and the key is to breaking it in. The slight difference with DMs is that even without breaking in (I’ve only done 35 miles on mine), the saddle is still extremely comfortable and I can see myself having this saddle along time. It’s an expensive initial outlay, but bearing in mind you never need to buy another one (hopefully not for many many years), it probably works out cheap in the long run. Make sure you buy yourself a tub of brooks proof hide to help nourish, break in and care for the saddle. I’m hoping to get some matching brooks handle bar tape soon. The retro look is great and I love winding my wife up by pointing out on period dramas that I have the same saddle (think Agatha Christie’s!) I’m in love!

If you own a Brompton bike then this is a must have addition to it. I have a Brompton in Raw Lacquer and it finished off the look of the bike just fine. It is not a cheap for a saddle for a bike, but it is just British craftsmanship at its finest. Very easy to fit, and straight from the off it is far more comfortable than the original saddle. It is just going to get better with age.

Für mich DER Perfekte Sattel, zuerst einmal zwei bis dreihundert Kilometer eingefahren und seitdem brauche ich auch keine Radlerhose mit den Einlagen mehr. Von Tirol bis nach Sylt keine Probleme mehr gehabt mit meinem Hintern und auch bei allen weiteren Touren Perfekt. Ich habe auch schon einigen Radfahrern diesen Sattel weiterempfohlen und auch die sind sehr zufrieden damit und brauchen keine Radlerhose mehr.

I finally gave in and got me a Brooks. I'm currently building a bike with a lot of green accents so this saddle fit the build perfectly. My area gets cold during the winter months so I cycle indoors. I have put the Brooks saddle on my spin bike to help break it in for the spring when it goes on my bike. It took a few rides and adjustments to get it comfortable, but I can feel the difference in it every time I use it. I am actually dreading the time to take it off the spin bike. This seat will be going on a single speed bike that I plan on doing a few centuries on so it needs to be comfortable. I can see myself buying a few more of these in the future. Get one at Christmas time, break it in on the spinner, put it on one of my bikes come spring. I know it can be hit or miss on certain items as far as fit go, and this is an expensive item to try out, but with patience this saddle breaks in so well that it's worth every penny. You will not be disappointed in it's comfort, or the beauty of it's hand built design.

Bester Sattel ever! super bequem..auch nach Stunden.. Der Sattel hat jetzt eine wunderschöne Patina bekommen, musste bis dato (ca.1,5 Jahre) noch nicht nachgestellt werden. Regelmässiges fetten -auch von unten-nicht vergessen!

O selim da Brooks foi uma das melhores compras que fiz para a bicicleta. Logo ao tirar da caixa percebe-se a qualidade dos materiais. O couro é espesso, bem trabalhado e o visual clássico dá logo outro charme à bike. Nos primeiros passeios ainda é um pouco rígido, mas com o uso vai-se moldando ao corpo e o conforto melhora bastante. É o tipo de selim que parece feito para durar muitos anos. Mesmo em percursos longos, noto menos fadiga nos ossos de apoio. Não é leve, mas para quem valoriza o conforto e o estilo, compensa totalmente. Perfeito para bicicletas urbanas, de touring ou gravel com um toque mais tradicional. Vale o investimento.

I replaced my beloved saddle with a newer version of the same saddle. What else to mention? Fast delivery, just a very very good product.
