Solid Connector
This is a well-built connector. The screw connections inside have no clamps, so the wire must be wrapped around each screw in a clockwise direction. In this type of connection, I prefer to tin stranded wire with solder, or crimp a ring terminal to each wire before connecting to each screw. The polarity is designated by the color of each connection screw, just like switches or receptacles - gold for hot, silver for neutral. I was puzzled that both blades that plug in are narrow and not polarized.
