I bought these to wear as a volunteer wildlife ranger in Yellowstone for its 5-month visitor season. The job entails lots of road and shoulder walking managing animal jams, as well as some off-road walking. I judge a shoe by its first 30-second try on. If it's not immediately comfortable, back they go! And I always remove the inner footbed and replace with Dr Scholl's Sport inserts. This pair is working well for me. However, IMHO they would not work well for trail running or long distance hikes. There are many others who are better designed for those activities.

I have not ordered Columbia shoes in a while but thought I would give them a try again. These shoes are very comfortable, lightweight and look good. I was pleasantly surprised in the quality and fit.If I find an issue with them after wearing them for a few months then I will update this review.

It’s getting hard to find shoes that have actual rubber soles and not that foam stuff. These hold up really well and are super comfortable. Just bought my second pair.

I bought these when my older pair were starting to wear out. I tried them out on a short hike, they fit well, and put them on the shelf while I finished getting the last use out of my other shoes. Turned out that my other ones lasted another three months, which is too bad because that put me past the return date. Within two weeks of wearing these on daily 4-5 mile hikes on flat ground the insole on the left shoe came loose and would work its way up the back of my heel. Eventually I used some double-sided carpet tape to keep it in place, and it works OK but not perfect. I would have returned them if I could have since I only wore them for two weeks before they failed, but like I mentioned I was outside of the return window. I've had much better quality shoes for less money and will definitely not be buying anything from this brand again. At this price repairs with carpet tape should not be needed after two weeks of light wear.
