I bought this and kept it for use at a later date in case I had to upgrade my m.2 drive to a newer one as it was on offer, but didnt work and cant return

ONLY USES M.2 SATA DRIVES! NOT NVME!
Seems fine so far, you may need to purchase an additional lead to connect to other devices such as TV's or set top boxes etc. So I additionally bought the: AmazonBasics USB Cable - 3.0 A Male to Micro B 1.8 m / 6 Feet I have a Samsung M.2 850 EVO that works like a charm. Stick it in; up pops drive management in windows 10, gave it a partition, quick format and away you go. File transfers across the USB3.1 were 300MB/Sec for a 21GB movie file. Nice.
