Smooth, non-bleed, and better than Mont Blanc!
I've been looking for a good ink refill for my fountain pen. This is great value, dries quickly, doesn't feather nor bleed, and has a clean crisp finish. I'm really impressed for its price -- much better than Mont Blanc refills, even Mont Blanc's so-called "permanent" black. Highly recommended.

Good ink for a good pen!
These are the perfect complement for an excellent pen. I only recently learnt that all Faber Castell fountain pens all share the same iridium-tipped steel nib design. Well, many would go for gold but this nib is a stiff but wet beauty; it gives a "characterful" feel when writing, not super smooth but with a definite and most satisfying feel against the paper. The medium nib I have gives a fine, wet line. Lovely.

Nice enough but small cartridges.
Nice enough but not the biggest ink cartridges you have ever seen and get used up pretty quickly. Good ink though and the price is pretty inexpensive but still pretty small.

Not waterproof.
I brought this for line and wash sketches and despite it being from an associated art material provider it is not waterproof and ruined one of my sketches. My bad for not testing but I like to believe I have a bit of trust in what I read from a manufacturer like this. Lesson learned and I’ll avoid faber cartel materials from now on.
