Final TouchConundrum Wine Aerator Decanter Drinking Gift, Clear,375ml

Wanted a 1/2 bottle decanter as I'm the only red drink at home and like to spread a bottle over 2 nights. Have owned this for 2 years now and think it is fantastic.It looks good. I think the shape helps wine aeration but nothing special. If I'm decanting into a full bottle decanter I always flip the wine upside down into the neck of the decanter and I think that will do as good a job.I think it's made of polycarbonate - it's very light and when I dropped it on the kitchen floor and it just bounced around.This may not be for everyone - polycarbonate doesn't have the feel of glass - but for an everyday (ok - "mostday" :-} ) decanter it's great. The base looks like a plated metal and polycarbonate doesn't like the dishwasher so I've always just given it a thorough rinsing out. This has been absolutely fine as I don't leave it empty long enough for dry residues to form.Would immediately replace if I somehow break it. One of my most used kitchen accessories!

Right, first things first, yes this only holds half a bottle. But that's fine. You pour the wine in, and then you immediately pour a glass (or two) then add the remaining wine. No biggie. The aeration works immediately so as soon as the wine is in the decanter, it's ready to drink. I blind-tested it on my partner - two glasses of red, one from the decanter, one straight from the bottle and he immediately picked the aerated wine - on two occasions with different wines. Apart from anything else, the decanter looks beautiful, it's such a lovely addition to the table. And the fact that it's smaller works in its favour with regard to storing it. We will be buying another, just because we like them so much and intend to have a couple on the table at any time. Washing-wise, we haven't put it through the dishwasher, it is quite fragile, but a quick rinse with warm water and then standing it upright on the draining board has been more than adequate so far. We love it - and heartily recommend it.

This item is a total con. It is cheaply made, thin, smaller than expected and not even the shape it looks on the box / advert.I was too embarrassed to even use it in front of guests.

I bought this for two reasons. Firstly to improve the taste of my wine which on a blind test it did. Secondly as I liked the look of it,felt it looked quite stylish and would make an interesting centre piece and talking point.Whilst it did improve the bouquet and taste of the wine in my opinion I prefer an over glass aerator that you can get, significantly cheaper too. Also in terms of the look in the pic here looks beautiful and curved when you actually get it its a little clinical looking and also pretty small and not the centrepiece I was hoping for.Pros:- improved the wine taste- pretty cool itemCons:- much too expensive for what you get- not as beautiful in real life- thought aerator was better for taste enhancement

Very good design love how it looks on the table but the neck is to slim and very very difficult to wash properly. The glass itself is also extreamly thin and feels very fragile with also does not help with cleaning or handeling feels like it's going to break in your hand. If I hadn't already given it to my husband as a gift I would send back and get a refund!!

This aerator brings wine to life, is affordable and looks stylish.However the base at the bottom lets water in which collects and gets rusty.As you taste with your eyes as well as your taste buds, this is a major draw-back.If this was corrected then this product would be worthy of five stars at under £20.

I bought this as a gift for my father and it was a big hit. It's a lovely piece and looks very smart, it's a great addition to the table. Yes, it only holds half a bottle but that hasn't been a problem. As it aerates the wine immediately, you pour in half the bottle, drink it, pour in the other half and drink it. I think it's a great gift for any wine fan.

Bought this as a gift for my partner. It is a lovely decanter that does enable you to drink the wine immediately without allowing the usual time to 'breathe'. As per other reviews, it holds less than a bottle of wine, but this hasn't been an issue so far. Just pour more in as you go. The decanter is very delicate, so it is probably best to rinse immediately after use and leave to dry.
