Great screen!! Super fast delivery
I don't often write reviews but I'm so impressed with this purchase, it would only be right to!! After a fair bit of research in to different projector screens, as well as looking in to making my own, I finally opted for this one due to it's small footprint and portability. Tripod screens take up a deceptively large amount of floor space due to their legs. First off, lets talk about the delivery: I ordered this on a Sunday morning and it arrived Monday lunch-time. I didn't even know that was possible!! Great stuff. The screen itself is simple to operate and built in to its case, no assembly required! Just undo the latches, open the lid to the case and pull the screen up. The smooth hydraulic system that supports the screen allows it to hold itself at whatever height you want it. When you're done, just lower the screen down back in to the case and hey presto! Everyone who has seen it has been impressed with the build quality and ease of use, especially for such a large screen (2m x 1.5m) - a couple of friends have actually gone and bought their own since. This screen is perfect for presentations or for event projections. When it's not being used out and about, I use it at home for our home cinema. While it isn't as good as some dedicated cinema screens, the matt finish still holds up well for HD projections. The screen itself is an off-white with a slightly textured surface - not ideal for close up viewing but looks great from a distance of 2m or more. The only gripe, which many people have pointed out on here, is the strong plastic/vinyl smell from the screen when it's up. It definitely pongs when you first get it and I can imagine it would give you a headache in a small, un-ventilated room from new. I left mine to air outside with the screen up during the day and the smell went in no time at all. All in all, I'm really happy with this purchase. Best thing I've bought in a while and at £100, it's a steal!

Multipurpose Projector Screen
This is so easy to set up, because it sits firmly on the floor, is raised easily and stops where you put it. Aspect ratio is 4:3 but the bottom edge is only about half-a-metre from the floor, so if it stands on the floor the top half of the unit makes an excellent widescreen. If you want to make use of the whole 4:3 screen the unit is best placed on a table (in a room with a high enough ceiling!) It is suitable for a home room because, unlike a tripod, the footprint is small (although long), and you don't need to raise all the screen for a small group of people. It's equally fine in a large hall. A lot of different people are going to be using the one I bought, so I have stuck a yellow label on the handle supports on the box (the only place a label will stick on the box) with memo TURN FEET - BEFORE OPENING. And stuck a green label HOLD THIS on the handle you grip to raise the screen. That's all the instructions needed. Stable, idiot proof and it gives a great picture.

Duronic Screen 100”
Very sturdy and easy to set up. We weighted it down with parasol weights.

Excellent projection secreen
This is an excellent screen. It is so easily set up and will stay in any position to which it is pulled up. One drawback are that it is very heavy, but this is probably unavoidable. The other drawback is that it has very flimsy latches. As other users have noticed, these are easily damaged by a slight knock. This happened with my screen so I bought a couple of straps to hold it shut. These straps are also useful in holding the feet parallel with the case while in transit so that these don't slide open which would expose them to damage. A damaged catch can be dealt with but if the feet were damaged I don't know how the screen could be made to stand up. However, I have found the screen too big and bulky so have bought the eighty inch version which is perfect.

High Quality Screen - especially for those who use a wide variety of venues
This is good - it just fits in a standard saloon car (as in just!). However, it is quite heavy - so if you're walking some distance with it + it's very long. I can just get it in a lift, but can be hard around staircases and if on the street you can knock people over with it if you're going around a corner! I've always put it on a table so that people can see it - but you need a chair to stand on to pull the screen up. It's very difficult to do this on the floor and then put it on a table (unless there's two of you). The case is made of metal, there are two clasps that open the lid and then simply pull the screen upwards. There's a rear trellis type of device that holds the screen taut. You then simply lower it back into the case. The only weakness that I've found is that both ends of the case have plastic covers (they protect the metal of the case). These seem to take the impact when trying to manouvre it in confined spaces. Probably best to tape them. The screen opens flat and is sturdy. As I use it to give talks I just place the projector to fill the screen - the importance for me is the high luminosity of the screen as I show films / photos in a variety of rooms where sometimes I don't have a great control of the light. A good buy and I hope is durable!

Nice product with reservations
Nice screen but even the largest version (the one I bought) may need raising on a table if being used in a very large room. In a normal room (eg classroom or small-medium conference room) the height should be fine. It has a sturdy metal case but see later comments. Very easy to use and quick to set up. Just spin the feet, open the clasps, open the hinged cover and lift. My reservations are as follows: within a day one of the the two metal clasps, that hold the case shut, came off when putting the screen into the car, with just a gentle knock. These are made of very soft metal with small lugs that hold the clasp to the case. These lugs bend easily and caused the clasp to fall off. It is impossible to refit the clasp. This needs improvement. We now have to tie a strap round the case to keep it closed. The feet are plastic so I have some reservations about how robust these are. Also, as others have mentioned, I do wonder how long the gas struts might last. In view of the problem with the clasp and general 'robustness' I have given this an overall 3 stars. I suggest you handle with care if you buy this item. I hope this doesn't sound too negative because the product is a nice product but build quality should be improved.

A good screen at a very fair orice
This is a second Duronic screen bought for use in a church meeting in a school hall. It needed to be easy to set up, portable and robust affording a good image in a shaded but not dark environment. It fits the bill well. The mechanism makes it easy to erect and it is not too heavy for such a big item. One word of warning. Our first screen needed a repair after regular use. I do not blame the manufacture as I believe that someone had not exercised sufficient care in lowering the screen into it's case resulting in a damaged bracket which we repaired ourselves. The mechanism is fine if treated with respect, but us not foolproof. Overall we are pleased with our purchase and consider it good value
