Useful kitchen tool.
I'd recommend one of these to anyone who cooks. It's very robust and most mixes will wash straight off it under the tap. Bread dough takes a bit more effort to get it out from between the rings but it does such a good job of combining ingredients that it makes up for that little bit of inconvenience.Well worth the space it takes up, which is something that anyone like me with a small kitchen needs to consider.

Great for mixing bread starter
I use this to mix my sourdough starter which is in a large jar that is too big for most whisks. It's very sturdy and firm so it works well even for the thickest dough/starter mix.Loses a star for not being dishwasher safe as that makes it a bit of a pain to clean each time.

Handy
Been folding Sourdough and Focaccia with this one. Very useful as you do not have mix the dough with your hands at autolyse. Highly recommended.

Strong, well made and really does a good job mixing dough, eggs or batters etc. Well priced too!
I've seen this dough tool mentioned in various sourdough bread recipes and thought it was just a fad. One day I decided to make two 1 kg loaves together and had to get my husband to hold the bowl while I stirred with a wooden spoon! Since I make real sourdough bread once or twice a week - (usually with Einkorn or Einkorn and Rye flour both of which absorb water slowly so difficult to mix), I decided to give this Kitchen craft a try. It arrived in a ridiculously large box so Amazon haven't really taken heed of what Hugo Fearnley Wittingstall discussed with them on his programme about waste in UK! But that's Amazon's problem and not the providers of the tool. Not only does it do a great job on mixing the starter with water to make the levain, it also makes short work of mixing the levain with water and then mixes the flour in very smoothly, making the whole job much easier and less strain on my wrists. 2 kilos of wet dough can be quite hard to mix thoroughly so all the flour is taken up using a normal metal or wooden spoon or even a spatula. But this dough tool does it with the greatest ease. It's also very good for beating eggs, pancakes and anything else that needs to mix wet and dry ingredients. The wooden handle is tapered and smooth so it's easy to just run it under warm water to remove any splodges of dough on it. The round metal head coil is sturdy, and if you drop it into warm water as soon as you've finished using it, the dough doesn't cake on it and it then cleans easily. For under £5 this very good value for a versatile and well made tool, especially for those of us that love baking. And it looks very professional too:->.

Really solid and surprisingly useful
This simple little thing has made my bread making SO much easier. Gone are the sticky mess days when you first incorporate the liquid. This thing mixes the dough beautifully and so easily.I'm not sure about people saying it's difficult to clean. The loops are large enough to get a finger in to rub off dough in a little water. Couldn't really be easier in my mind...If you do forget to clean it and leave dough to dry on it, just soak it for a few minutes. Sorted.

Rusty!
Arrived with rust spots. Haven't used it yet but seems durable, just disappointed with it's condition on arrival.

Does the job perfectly
Used for turning dough which it’s perfect for and much sturdier than it looks in the pictures
