Very thoroughly researched and documented with sources for theory of the source of Adam and Eve. Also excellent study of the lives of the first patriarchs and how their lives overlapped as civilization expanded.

We have a gift today that mankind has lacked since the deaths of the Apostles-we have prophets on the Earth today and Priesthood authority. With the restoration of Christ's church in the last dispensation before His glorious return, we are privileged to have knowledge and understanding concerning our earliest ancestors that the vast majority of the world today lacks, and that even many within the Church may not understand very clearly. Though not an official publication of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, this is possibly the most fascinating non-canonical book relating to the Church's knowledge of scriptural history I've ever read. If you've never owned a "church book" outside the standard works, I highly recommend starting here.

My husband and I listened to this for the first time on a trip from California to Idaho last month. It was great. My husband read the book some 25 years ago and recommended we pick this up for the trip. Many gems that even if you had read/heard before, great for bringing to remembrance again. BTW - although the narration is NOT dynamic to say the least, it didn't bother either of us.....making the purchase a BARGAIN at $30ish. One more thing, on a long road trip it creates tons to talk about....our 17 year old son wanted to know what was so interesting for my husband and I to be talking about and as a result he listened to the 2nd half of the audio set along with us.....and he REALLY enjoyed it.....he said it was like Seminary, except he didn't have to wake up at 5am for the feast :-)

I especially appreciate the author's insight into the creation found in Genesis and why the atonement of Jesus Christ was necessary found in the appendix. If you're looking for truth about your relationship with God, this book is a must-read.

I have read this book before and loaned it out. It got lost and I wanted to read it again. My husband and I are reading a couple of chapters each evening and enjoying it again.

Fantastic book! He writes in such a way that the story of the creation is a page turner! I bought all three of his books and couldn't put them down.

This book has been very insightful and easy to read. I ordered it to help me prepare lessons and discussions on the Old Testament and the referencing is so easy to follow that my class members as we'll as myself are benefiting from the study support this book is.
