Absolutely love it!
I love this controller! I really wanted to upgrade to standalone but was not ready tp spend 4k+ ... this product is really fantastic! It has great built in speakers. Layout and effects are great. It works with NanoLeaf lights. If you plugin a USB - it saves all your hot cues (I am using Beatport, Soundcloud). The size is great - it’s not too big but also feel closer to pro.The downside with Amazon music was it only allows you 2 channels and it takes quite a while to upload each song to a deck.. but works seamlessly with Beatport all 4 decks.I’ve only had it for a month but love it so far.

Awesome hardware, endgame ready
The good:- Club standard layout- Really good sounding output (I didn't know it literally made songs sound better!)- Love the info in the platters- Angled screen drastically reduces back strain- Not that heavy if you need to move it- Can connect wirelessly to music sources, Philips hue lights- love engine DJ, includes Serato Pro for PC use- fun built in effectsThe bad:- have to reboot a couple times to read SD cards sometimes- have to reboot a couple times to connect to Philips Hue sometimes- onboard speakers sound ok, but waste space- Fully plastic case

DDJ 1000 VS SC LIVE 4
if your debating between the sc live 4 and the ddj 1000, dont hesitate ,i bought the sc live 4, i know what your thinking right now but dont hesitate, get the sc live 4. its amazing, very simular to pioneer too. took me like 30 mins to get used too then i felt at home, its legit everything in the ddj 1000 but standalone and with speakers, the speakers get pretty loud and the resonate through the system, NOT rattle you can feel the bass in the dj from them they are very nice. i still hooked it up to some 8 inch studio monitors, which are of course much better but i like the speakers since i can just take my dj to the kitchen or wherever and dj without needing anythting but the DJ since its standalone. engine DJ supports rekordbox files so its not hard to transition over and stuff. also its alot smarter, like alot alot smarter, built in lighting control, it can analyze tracks, it can control nanoleaf and philips hue, streaming services and more, all for 1300, such a good deal. and get it on amazon, worst case just return it if you dont like it lol. but im sure you wont want to return it once you see all the benefits and cool features!

Great features but some issues
Off the bat, this is a great feature set for a DJ controller. The feature set for the money is unbeatable. On top of that, you can be completely standalone and lose the computer.... under one condition - If the touchscreen worked reliably.Out of the box, my unit booted up and downloaded the latest enginedj update and firmware. That was great experience. Connect it to wifi and off ya go! After the update, I connected my Tidal account and ran a session for about 2hrs. Absolutely no issues. Next I wanted to connect to desktop dj software, as the benefit to a laptop connection is eye level. Hanging your head over that screen after a while is bad ergonomically. I tried a couple of apps - Djay, Virtual DJ, Serato, and of course Engine DJ. Played with them all for a bit, and shutdown normally (button press, touch yes on the touchscreen). After a couple of days, I booted back up, and it seems this is where the problem started. The touchscreen was completely unresponsive. Oh man! I read some posts on reddit that the screen doesn't like cold, or that it's capacitive touch so be sure your're plug is grounded properly, and blah blah blah. I thought, how in the world can a device of this standing be so picky? I'm indoors in a properly wired residence. Not likely. Anyhow, I long pressed the power button to shut it down (because the normal touching yes to shutdown didn't work with a dead screen) and at least I could power it off. I started it back up and eventually, some responsiveness came back, but it wasn't 100%. The knobs work just fine, but the touchscreen goes dead sometimes and unfortunately some options can only be accessed via touch. I've reached out to Denon support who recommended reapplying a firmware update. I did a factory reset, and a firmware install and neither resolved the issue. My ticket is being escalated, but if they don't have an answer in the next few days, I'll be returning this one.Update. Denon support says to either return it to Amazon or submit a warranty claim. That really stinks they don't have a solution for this. It makes me hesitant to try another one. I may go for another brand's controller.

This console broke after 3 jobs.
This product is a great idea, however hit wheel A broke after the third gig. This defect took place exactly as the product was out of warranty. For the price tag better product quality is expected, plus contacting product support only proved nil. The only suggestion given was to spray with canned air. This was a total waste for me.
