Best Lightup LED ball Ive tested.
Nala has tested lots of balls. The Nite Ize GlowStreak LED Ball is a great ball, very durable soft rubber outside. Nicely shaped for throwing by hand. Bright light and un like some others stays lit for a decent amount of time. It is water proof which is a must and it floats. it's a heavy ball, which would be my only minor concern. Great for the park and the long grass.

Easily the best Glow Ball
Absolutely superb. Pros Lights up very well and easy to see Long lasting. I have tested this, so far for 25 hours with no sign of fading Easy battery replacement Not too sensitive. I have had other motion-activated balls which turn themselves on while being carried in my pocket Although not tested in water, has been used in wet grass, rain and considerable slobber Cons None Would prefer The green light is the most visible, so would prefer if it didn’t change colour If it was slightly bigger (70mm) to make it easier to use in a ball thrower. Altogether, absolutely perfect. Well worth the price paid

Resilient, long lasting light, fits in standard ball chucker
Road tested this glow ball with 40kg dog this evening. Easy to open the battery compartment with a butter knife. Ball fitted well into my standard chucker / flinger. Brightly lit up on initial bounce, and stayed lit for a good ten minutes, meaning we didn’t lose it. Absolute bonus! Dog had no issues tracking and retrieving it. Added benefit that could see the dog when he was pottering about in the dark because the ball is so bright it is visible in his mouth at all times. Nice bounce the ball ensuring the dog had a good chase each time. My dog likes to carry his ball around for periods of time on walks and sort of chews it; he’s a big lad but this ball stood up really well to the mauling. Previous similar designs have been too flimsy and the battery unit has quickly become damaged, either from chewing or throwing; so far we’ve only had one 45 minute walk and this ball has been very resilient. £20 may seem a lot for a single ball, but when one calculates how much use during the darker months one will get out of it, providing the opportunity to properly exercise ones dog over the winter, this seems good value to me. I’m not able to say how long this glow ball will last, but first impressions are good and I would recommend.

Lights stay on - no more lost balls!
These balls are great for play when it's dark. Our dog loves playing with the balls and they fit perfectly into a standard dog ball thrower. They stay light up for 5 minutes where other balls go out in seconds and this means you don't lose them. It only takes one solid bounce to activate them. They are great quality and even our strong chewing dog hasn't ruined them. They are battery powered but it's easy to replace the battery and it's easy to buy new batteries. I love them because the lights stay on and you can easily spot them.

Superb Idea, well thought out. (Winter walks)
Brilliant idea for winter walks. cannot fault. Certainly IP67, floats. Dog absolutely loves it. Fairly useless for day time walks as ball is semi clear, hard to see! (but that was never for it's intended use, so cannot say too much). I would recommend maybe keep it on for 4-6 cycles, before use, LED's are bright in the dark and probably aren't great on the doggos eyes when battery is brand new. Battery included with my 2 balls! LED's are only on one side of the PCB board, but given the brightness of the lights I don't think that's a bad thing. Cocker spaniel goes mental for it. Good job, well done ladies & gentlemen involved.

The ball worked as advertized
The ball arrived but did not contain a rechargeable battery as printed on the package. It worked well and obviously is not rechargeable

Great light up function and very durable.
Recommend... best light up ball i have come across so far. Suitable for fetch with big dogs. Durable... but electronic internals mean it's not suitable for chewers!

I am a verified purchaser of the Disco Meteorlight LED ball, I wrote my review and originally rated it 5 stars. About a month and a half later I changed my review down to 2 stars on the ball. The meteorlight ball was getting its battery and micro chip damaged by water seeping through. Not to mention how much of a pain it was to even access the battery/chip. Pros about Glowstreak: - Much easier to turn on the ball, this time with just a bounce on the ground and it's lit up compared to the Meteorlight where you had to press on the plug hard (though it got easier with use). - Much easier to access the battery/chip for when the battery needs replacement. The ball package states it lasts 35 hours use, I'm on Day 3 at the moment with about 4 hours in on the battery provided - still bright, no signs of battery weakening. Cons about the Glowstreak: - It's auto shut off, so you can't turn it off when desired. You just have to leave it motionless and it'll turn off after it blinks in all its colours about 100 times. Literally A LOT of times before it just turns off. - Because of the auto shut off issue and it detecting motion, I can't leave the ball & catcher in my car trunk anymore because if it rolls around the trunk, it will most likely turn on and that will drain the battery. - The ball isn't perfectly round as the Meteorlight and has grooves. Why this matters? Because despite the Glowstreak ball not intended as a chew toy, when my dog brings the ball back at times she drops the ball and just starts to chew at the grooves. I will stop this when I see it happen with treats, but I know with the old Meteorlight ball she would just chew the entire ball, not pick at certain parts of the rubber. Conclusion: in my old review about the Meteorlight I was strongly anticipating an LED ball lasting 3 months before it's deemed useless, their old ball from NiteIze didn't last. This new ball, Glowstreak seemed to have fixed the water damage issue so far so I do believe it'll last longer than the previous model. It seems durable and improved and sold at a reasonable price like the old model. * I may have reviewed the ball too soon before any flaws start to show, so I will update my review as the weeks go on and the ball recieves more use. *** Update: it has been 13 months now and my Ball has finally started experiencing issues. I changed the battery, and it worked again for a day. Then it died again. I have placed another order for a new ball. Not bad for $20cad per year, with almost everyday usage.
