Dubious about negative reviews but ordered any way. The reviews mentioning lighting touch paper and hardly any smoke are in part correct but misleading. 'lighting touch paper' we expect a reaction similar to a firework, but this is not the case in reality. There is a small amount of smoke generated but think of it as thick fog, as long as the area is enclosed this amount of smoke will do the job. Come back after 1 to 2 hours later and all you see is clear air, no smell, and dead flies every where.Here one day and gone the next . Would highly recommend give these bombs a try. No flies on this product.

I have a large loft which was infected by cluster flies. I lit 2 smoke bombs, placed them in the loft and closed the hatch (ensuring that the smoke bombs were placed on fireproof dishes and kept well away from any loft insulation) As described on the packaging the bombs gave off a great deal of smoke, although none manage to seep through into the upper floor. I left the bombs in the loft over night and checked for flies the next morning. The bombs appears to have worked as there was no evidence of cluster flies the next day. I will continue to check the loft and should they re appear I have another two smoke bombs as the product was supplied as a pack of 4. The smoke bombs are easy to use and did exactly what I wanted them to do. As the product is toxic it is important that you follow the instructions supplied, if you do this they are easy and safe to use.

We had annoying cluster flies gathering at the upstairs windows and there were loads of them in the attic. We have quite a big loft space so I was wondering how many of these would be needed to do the job. I suited up and lit two of them with a long reach lighter. I closed the hatch and left it for about two hours and when I returned for a gander the place was like post apocalyptia. Looking forward to next year's showdown.

Not very good at all. All 4 purchased were used as directed. They lit and went out within 10 seconds.

These are not worth buying, very small, bought 4 and only 2 worked. The 2 that didn't work only smoked a bit then got hot for 1 minute then nothing. It took 2 in a small loft to do the job so not good value. I understand that they do a large version that should be the normal size.
