NICE, EASY TO USE
Nice unit. Came with everything: batteries, screw driver, case. Instruction are very basic but OK….Seems to be very sensitive to air movement which is good

A Swiss Army knife of anemometers
Upon first opening the box, I noticed that this digital anemometer was packaged in its own zippered case for its protection. They even include a screwdriver inside the case to remove the two screws securing the battery compartment for convenience. It’s a small detail, but battery cover does not have a label pasted on it, but the notation of “2X 1.5V AAA battery” is stamped into the plastic cover, so there’s no label to wear off and lose. Within the display, it also has an indicator of battery life, which is wonderful.Given the size of the blade housing to measure wind speed (3 ¼” across), it is surprisingly lightweight, but at the same time, it does not feel cheap. The attached lanyard was a bonus. I could not seem to get it to screw in all the way (there was a portion of the threads still showing), but it was still secure, so that was an inconsequential matter – more aesthetics than anything else. This thing is packed with features. Almost a weather station in your hand. It boasts of not only a device to measure wind speed, but it can also provide the current temperature reading, relative humidity, altitude, and barometer readings. It can also measure in different standards, such as miles per hour, feet per minute, meters per second, kilometers per hour, and even knots if you’re the nautical type. Even more impressive, it is able to read barometric pressure in inHg, hpa, or mbar.It is very sensitive and needs very little air movement to activate and record readings. The lowest reading I could get was .02 mph, which is pretty low. The highest I got around the house was from a blower fan, which register at 24 mph, but that is not because it could go no higher, but because that was the highest wind speed I could get around the house. So, I did what anyone else would do in this dilemma, I hit the road – with the anemometer in hand. Note, I did not use this as a means to measure accuracy, because my uncalibrated speedometer may be incorrect and the outside wind speed may skew results; however, I still think it was within an accurate range. The anemometer was able to read up to 64 mph, but at that speed, it did make a loud and sharp whirring noise that was a little annoying. If you’re not measuring in the midst of a tornado, this should not be a problem.I also tested it outside in the yard. A reputable online weather site said that winds were at six miles per hour. I immediately went outside and was met with a breeze that caused me to hold the storm door without a pneumatic closer to keep it from hitting the exterior of the house. As it was obvious which direction the wind was coming from, I easily tested the speed, which fluctuated between five and seven miles an hour – right on target. When the wind speed plummeted and it became less obvious from which exact direction the wind was blowing, a windsock aided my efforts. The reading seemed to proportionally correspond with felt breeze, so in all, I believe this device is accurate.Whether you are flying drones or assessing the weather, this all-in-one device is like a Swiss Army knife of anemometers. Great product.

Good transaction
Arrived 1 day earlier than promised. :) Product was exactly as expected with a cheap set of batteries that I replaced with better alkalines. It uses a small screwdriver to screw down the access lid instead of a weather hatch like Garmin uses on their GPSRs. Easy to use intuitive buttons.
