Highly effective
Pleasantly surprised by the quality and effectiveness of this device. I wear it twice a day for 15-30 minutes while doing household chores and it has really helped my neck pain from cervical stenosis. Independent height adjustment for the right and left sides is great because my head has a tendency to lean to the left. Adjusting that side higher is gently stretching that side in a very functional way. The air pump feature is also effective. I tighten the device and then inflate the pump for a great, gentle stretch/traction. It’s key to get the device balanced on your shoulders. I’ve had a prescribed traction device that was not as good as this and I’ve also tried cheaper traction devices from Amazon that were worthless. If you are on the fence I’d say go for it. You won’t be disappointed.

Great product
I get great relief from this better than the one from surgery and hospital. Comfortable works great the pump makes it so snug you won’t hurt yourself with it stops unintentionally movement. Don’t drive in it! Common sense. I love it

Excellent! Helps my neck! Deflate could be improved
Easy to put on / take off. Easy to inflate, odd way to deflate it tho. Seems after a while of taking the hose apart to deflate, the hose will not stay together, seems they could have added deflate to the remote.

Planned obsolescence - parts designed to fail
Two parts specifically were designed to fail. The part that is designed to hold tension on the gear mechanism, and the dial that turns the gear. Both of these were engineered to fail within a year, in my rough estimate. The design on the dial especially, it was designed in a way that the plastic is not reinforced to withstand repeated tension on the dial to turn it. Over time this WILL fail. There is no way to order parts from this company to replace it. If you buy this, because it does in fact do a good job of relieving cervical pressure, know that it will fail and you will need to get another.

Does its job well
I was a bit nervous due to other reviews, given the price, but I'm glad I bought this. I had one of the cheap inflatable things before and those are a real pain to deal with. They also don't work nearly as well. This one is easy to use and very effective. The one (minor) complaint I have is that the inflatable part that sits behind the neck doesn't come down far enough to fully cover the supporting plastic behind it. Another centimeter longer would be a game changer. The plastic can dig into the back of my neck a bit and feel uncomfortable. However, I've found that if I pull down really hard on it while I inflate it, I can cover the plastic enough to be comfortable. To me, this isn't enough to knock it a full star but definitely half a star if I could.

Twinklepoch JQAH-8 Neck Traction Device
I was using the older version of the Twinklepoch neck traction device and was very satisfied with the positive results I experienced. I now am using the upgraded version of the Twinklepoch neck traction device and my experience with the new version has been as follows: When I used the upgraded device for the first time, I found that it fitted on my shoulders and wrapped around my neck like a glove. It fits so well, is so comfortable, and positions my chin and jaw in such an effective way. This enables me to experience an effective neck traction. One of the biggest improvements is the design and operation of the side knobs. This makes it easier to be sure that you have applied the same amount of traction equally on the left side of your neck as on the right side of your neck. I have found that the back air bladder is effective in applying traction to the back side of my neck. The supplied battery operated automatic pump is a nice little luxury as well. The automatic pump supplies just the right volume of airflow so as to make it very easy to inflate the back air bladder to exactly the traction force you want. The Twinklepoch JQAH-8 is very sturdy and can be used as an effective neck brace as well if needed. I love it.

Works better for an average build
Read this if you're skinny/smaller than average! This item definitely has potential for a nice decompression. It is very simple to use. I've used it maybe 7 times over the last 3 days for 3-10 minutes at a time (I was pretty excited to try it). And I have gotten decent decompression from it. I'm 22 years old and don't suffer from any severe chronic back or neck pain, however I am always popping my joints, back, neck, and seeking ways to relax my body and fix my posture. I've used some "do it yourself" methods at home to quickly decompress my cervical and even get a small pop most times I attempt it. This device does get that same stretch as it's intended to. My problem with it so far, is that although it has a fair degree of adjustable position to suit the user, it does not fit me well. I use the tightest setting in the back and still have some wiggle room. The chin support turns into more of a mouth guard because my chin doesn't reach all the way over it. I end up getting a better grip on the back of my neck to utilize the occipital pressure the device is meant to give, when I take the pads off my shoulder and rest or hold them in front of my self, pulling it all forward so that the pad at the back of my neck is actually applying the pressure to cause the stretch effectively. This of course reduces the comfort of the device, not that the shoulder pads were too comfy or fitting to begin with. I am 5'8" and 135 pounds, very lean and definitely smaller than the average guy, so my problems are not something everyone would talk about. Or maybe it just doesn't fit most people, but I seem to be too small. If you're an average build, it might fit perfect with the decent range of adjustability. But if you're leaner/skinnier this is not going to fit perfectly, and it's not a great cost/benefit ratio.

It's helping!
It is a little tricky getting in and out of this neck traction device for me as my hands are in bad shape. Once on, however, it is very effective at stretching my neck and relieving pressure on the nerves that affect my hands. The tingling and burning in my hands goes away or is greatly diminished while I am wearing the brace. The benefit can last for hours after taking it off. I use it two or three times a day for up to 10 minutes a time. It is capable of a lot of stretching so my advice is to go slowly with it and not put too much pressure right away. It doesn't take much stretching to take pressure off of the vertebrae and discs. It is a bit uncomfortable to use as it lifts the head from under the chin and the back of the head so I don't wear it for long periods. That said the little bit of discomfort is well worth it as the effect in diminishing the numbness in my hands is pretty great. Thanks for a wonderful product!
