Esstac KYWI knockoff… and it’s GREAT!
I was a little skeptical at first with the lack of reviews on this product. Nevertheless, I decided to take a risk and purchase it. I am happy to say that it is a great product for the price.I personally own an Esstac 2+1 that I use on my battle belt. The pistol mags and the 5.56 mag slide in and out perfect. No additional work needed. On this product… there is additional work needed. Initially the mags were extremely tight…the inserts obviously are made of some plastic, NOT Kydex. I fixed the issue very simply, I took out the inserts and began heating the parts with the bends (see photo) it only took a couple minutes each insert. I ran the flame over the corner and i felt it getting easier and easier to open up. After the corner was hot enough to wiggle back and fourth, I stuck a mag in and set it aside to cool. Rinse and repeat with each insert. There was another area that I needed to heat up as well, it’s about halfway up the insert. I heated the inside and outside for a couple minutes as well. Once again, stick a mag in and zip tie the ends.Once cooled, stick the inserts back in and the mags will come out MUCH easier. Now all my mags come in and out with the same ease.In summation: If you want something that works right out of the box… buy an “Esstac”If you don’t mind a little bit of work and you are handy, this will work just as good as the name brand stuff. (At a fraction of the cost)All in all, I am a happy customer and glad I decided to take a risk on these.

Does great
Got this to replace my fabric mag holders and this does a damn good job at holding mags. I had to take a lighter to the plastic to decrease the grip of them because I couldn’t get them out. Very easy to instal. great construction.

Easily adjusted the retention with a heat gun
Hey guys, I’ve seen a few people talking about the retention being too strong, especially with PMAGs. This is true, it’s a little too tight if you’re in the business of doing quick reloads like I am. A cheap $15-$20 heat gun off Amazon will do the trick. I simply removed the inserts and put a mag in them. After that, I heated up the side that did not have velcro for 30-60 seconds. This loosened up the plastic to give me solid retention but still be able to pull the mags quick. As for the heat gun, I’ve had multiple projects and jobs around the house where it’s come in handy so definitely a worthwhile investment. Hope this helps

Good retention
I over stuffed these for a few days to loosen the retention some but it's great so far. I haven't really put them to the test yet though beyound home mag swapping practice. When I eventually take these out to do some airsoft I'll update if they hold up.

Tight and sturdy
It’s super sturdy, the clips inside hold the magazines extremely tight, which is a pro and a con. The pro is that you’ll probably never lose a magazine in the field, the con is that it’s so extremely tight that at times I have to fight against the clips to draw my magazines for a reload. After some use the clips loosen up a bit so the problem solves itself, but definitely give it a bit of use before you use these in the field or your magazines will be stuck
