Wait it does work.
Ok so this is a really nice size, I bought this for my sons camping trips. Now it's really lightweight and easy to set up. Be aware that the first few times you do it you may not think it's working but it is a subtle difference so you may not see it. Unroll it and open the valve(attached black twist) at the bottom- the first time you do it you may not hear anything. But the second time you will hear a hissing. Once fully inflated it's not a massive thick pad it maybe changes by a few cm but is very comfortable and stays inflated through the night. After that you can blow up the pillow with the normal valve and when full push it it so pillow is flat. This was a very nice price, a bargin- also comes with a nice bag and rolls up well with two clips to lock in place these are adjustable too!! Seriously this is great, performance is fabulous

Better than the floor
Purchased 3 to use on camp beds on a 2 week camping holiday. Stayed inflated for whole trip. Reasonably comfortable & we were warm. We had the pillows only part inflated to mimic using a second proper pillow as we're short on packing space. My only complaint would be the width, not quite wide enough to cover metal bars on sides of camp beds (but then most SIM'S seem to be this pretty standard size). Overall, for the value price, I would recommend 👌

Great for the money
For the money I can't complain. Didn't expect much from the pillow, it's going to be uncomfortable and noisy being a blow up pillow so we will just fold that under. Didn't really self inflate so blew air into it and it was much better. Great for the kids, using them as a topper on their camping bunk beds so will be great for that extra comfort for them. Also good enough to be used on the ground which im sure they will when camping with scouts. Oh! Not long enough for tall people, my 6ft 3 partner lay down on it and his whole head and feet were hanging over both ends.

Comfortable and practical
Used this self-inflating camp bed during paternity to sleep on the hospital floor. Brilliant – comfortable, easy to inflate, and a real lifesaver.

Good Bit of Little Extra Padding for Cheap
As I'm not a camping person I bought this for an adult sleepover at the Natural History Museum, to give me extra padding and I needed to bring my own pillow. This hit two birds with one stone. Agreeing with other reviews the self inflating isn't the best... But since it has added foam in the pad it helped get a better nights sleep regardless. The pillow element was great! Really comfy. Managed a fairly good nights sleep on a stone floor. Would use again for other events of the sort. Good value for money for what I got.

Good item!
This appears to be a good item. Please note that the photograph looks thicker than the item actually is. It seems well made, it has high density foam inside and when you undo the valve it inflates, you can then add some extra thickness by inflating it by mouth, a couple of puffs will inflate it to its maximum. The pillow requires you to inflate yourself. The material is thick and appears hardwearing and the straps are very good quality. It also comes in a handy drawstring bag. It feels comfortable and is a very good length. I have a shoulder injury from a car accident a few years ago and whenever I've been camping since I really struggle with sleep as I find it difficult to get comfortable and I suffer really bad in the cold. The maximum I usually camp for is five nights and I usually sleep on a metal and canvas camp bed. However this year I am going camping for ten nights in a row so had to rethink my sleeping arrangements. I saw this and plan to use it on top of my camp bed so that I'm off the ground still but a bit more comfortable. I have tested this plan at home and it seems to work well. The foam inside the mattress should provide some extra warmth as well as comfort, especially when off the ground slightly. As his is made from foam I won't have to worry about it bursting like traditional airbeds. I am looking forward to my ten days camping now I know I will be more comfortable and this is so easy to put up as it does most of the work itself and is don't have to worry about air leaking out of it while I sleep. It fits on top of my camp bed really well and is very comfortable. To deflate you just have to undo and squeeze the valve for the pillow section. It helps to gradually roll the pillow as you do this to release all of the air. After that you roll the mat from the pillow end, pushing onto it to squeeze out the air (don't forget to undo the black valve at the bottom of the bed) once it's rolled up you can close the two straps and tighten them to release the last bit of air, once done you can close the valve again and put it in its bag. Pretty simple and quick!! If you found this review helpful, please click on the “Yes” button below.

Light, inflates enough to keep the body off ground and by itslef.
Perfect for a wild camp, it is light and can roll down into a small space, it keeps the body just off the floor enough and is comfortable more so than a foam mat or nothing. It has a self inflating nozzle so no need in blowing it up (unless its the headpiece) and is of waterproof material. Suits well with tall people maybe not so much for those heavier.

Very comfy, easy to inflate and deflate.
Like the title says, this is about as simple as it gets, It's easy to inflate the mat section and easy to blow up the pillow, both take very little effort unless you have breathing issues, deflating is just as easy. Rolling up is a cinch to get it into the storage bag. The mat is comfy to lay on even though its quite slim, it warms up from body heat quickly, I have used this in my van to lay across the seats and it makes it more comfy, it stops a cold spot between the seats and I've slept on this with a heavy weight quality throw wrapped around me and it felt super comfy. All in all a high quality mat worth the pennies. Update: Unfortunately one of the roll straps clips broke, so not as durable and I thought, such a shame though as the mat is great in every other way.
