Love this study bible, this is my third one. If you truly want to dig into the Word of God, this is the Bible for you.

This book is sturdy and easy to read with the large print. It makes a lovely gift for an older person or anyone who may need large print. The quality is exquisite! I am pleased with this purchase. I highly recommend Bible reading for everyone!

Absolutely love it. I have another from 1982 and its still holding up but I wanted something with a bit bigger words and the quality is the same as the old one I expect this one to last as long as my other.

UPDATED 03/16/2024//****I've been using Thompson Chain Reference Bibles since I accepted Jesus as my Savior in 1984, but this Thompson is simply wonderful. This new layout has a very noticable and interesting change, however, it's still easy to follow and one I will definitely give as gifts. Many of the alphabetical, numerical index and chain topics have been visually reduced in how it's displayed but, that has not affected the way the outlines, or study chain references are displayed. The concordance is reduced and not as thorough but the chain reference remains strong. I wasn't expecting this new Thompson to be so different in it's layout, but I love it. I almost forgot to mention the handy addition of a notes section, but you may need to use a cushion to press on to protect your pages because they are thin, and your printing can leave deep indentions.

I like Zondervan's many improvements to this Bible which are too numerous to list here. I originally bought an NIV Thompson version many years ago before I knew any better. This KJV is superb, with easy to read comfort font. I was reluctant to get another non-leather one but I couldn't afford the real leather version. The cover seems fine though and lays flat when opened. The pages are rather thin and sometime difficult to separate so I am still "running it in." Study Bibles tend to be biased one way or another depending on the author's theology, and it is tempting to read the notes as if they are on an equal level with the scripture. However the Thompson version helps scripture interpret scripture better. I thoroughly recommend it.
