Expensive, but allows a "nutted" bike to use a Turbo Trainer (despite what you read on internet forums!)
Got a cheap or vintage or "leave at the station" bike that takes wheel nuts rather than a QR skewer? I fitted these to my wife's "shopping" bike. Be aware that there are two different sizes of these wheel nuts. This size fits cheap " modern" bikes, and the other size fits older bike (and, I think, things like BMX). So next time an "Internet Expert" tells you that you can't use a "nutted" bike on a turbo trainer, you will know they are talking rubbish. The Tacx Axle Nuts are basically a pair of enormous wheel nuts! The "round" bit (on the end without the hole) fits into the clamps on a turbo trainer. Leave them on the bike if you want - they are unlikely to attract much attention. Ridiculously expensive, though, for just a pair of wheel nuts, but, hey, this seems to be the "only game in town" for "nutted" bikes.

Use a single speed with 120mm dropouts on a Tacx Flow smart trainer
Only 4 stars because it's ridiculously expensive for a couple of nuts - however it does allow you to use a single speed nutted wheel with 120mm dropouts on a trainer designed to take a more standard 130-135mm - works perfectly.

Does what it says
Bought these as I purchased a Tacx Turbo trainer from Halfords but it required a quick release rear wheel which my hybrid bike doesn't have. All I did was replace the standard nuts with these and hey presto I can now hook it up to the trainer! Expensive for what they are but you have no option but to buy them. A bit of a sneaky move by Tacx there that they're not included with the cross trainer!

Fits the axle for my girlfriend's Apollo Etienne
I wasn't sure that these would fit my girlfriend's Apollo Etienne because the wheel nuts require a 14mm spanner. However it does as the 10mm size quoted is for the diameter of the axle rather than the size of the nuts (I had hoped this would be the case but wasn't sure) With the nuts fitted, the bike fits the turbo trainer without any problems so it can now be alternated between her bike and mine. They're sturdy enough to leave them on rather than refit the standard nuts when we ride on real roads. The only issue I did have was that I didn't have a fixed spanner large enough to fit the nuts as at 18mm they exceeded them all. However they were wide enough to comfortably work with an adjustable spanner - I find adjustable spanners tend to slip off normal sized nuts as they require extra width to grip them sufficiently.

Quality but expensive
They are great quality and do the job well. However there expensive for what they are, but I couldn't find any other options that do the same job

Got for the job
What can you say about a couple of nuts? Ok, they’re nice and shiny and they work as they’re supposed to. Just choose the right size (metric or imperial)

Expensive bolts, sizes are guess work
Unfortunately doesn’t fit the Velo Pro. The whole buying process is a stab in the dark - trying to work out whether you need a 10mm or 3/4 is the first guess. Then the actual bolt size needed for your brand of trainer is another.

This worked well on my fixie and my wife's fixie on the kinetic trainer as well as the cycle ops trainer. the kinetic didn't "need" these, but the cycle ops didn't fit my wife's bike without these adapters. definitely 5 star product. I wish they were easier to search and had better descriptions.

These work great to put a single speed or fixed gear bike on a trainer
