Worth it!
I’ve waited a while to review this. I hesitated before splashing out, too. It works perfectly when you follow the instructions and apply a fair amount of pressure. I’d buy this again but so far (2yrs on) it’s still going strong so hopefully won’t have to! Just wish they’d supply replacement sanding strips for the outer ring for when mine are too worn out.

Works for temp fix
Works ok, give my blades a little extra life but find it makes the blades susceptible to brake once they have been sharpened

Great product works perfectly. Very pleased.
Well worth the money as it will save you buying new blades. It is easy to use and with minimal effort sharpens your blade perfectly. 5* product.

Rotary Blade Sharpener - Does what it say on the tin!
Rotary blades are brillinat when they are sharp, but pain in the neck, when not. Replacing the blade is expensive even if you buy them in bundle. Therefore, I was looking for a way to sharpen them, but at first I was shocked by the price of branded blade sharpeners. Since I am not using them in industrial quantities I thought I will try this particular one, which is a manual, old fashioned grinding stone. It is not a fancy gadget, but does what it say on the tin! If and when the instructions are carefully followed. For the first time the blades have to be sharpened at least 5 minutes on both sides with the coarse stone (good wrist fitness excercise), this is due to the fact that the original angle of the blade's edge is different than the the angle of the sharpener stone, so for the first couple of minutes actually you are not even sharpening the blade, but pre-grinding it. According to the manufactures later sharpenings will be shorter. So, after the initial five minutes I did couple of more turns on both side of the blade with the fine stone and the blade was as sharp as new.According to the manufacturer you can sharpen your blade 30 times and to be honest I see no reason why would this be an overstatement. So if you are looking to maintain cheaply your beloved rotary cutter, and don't mind now and again the "wrist fittness excercise". I highly reccomend this product.

Does not do the job, sadly
It would be a good idea if it worked, but unfortunately, does not transform dull blades into one that is useful. Waste of money and precious environmental resources producing something that does not work.

Good idea. Doesn't work very well at all.
I bought this in high hopes of it being able to make my 45mm circular blades last longer. I have tried it twice so far using twenty turns at each stage, with less than impressive results. It's a lot of money for what is essentially sandpaper and plastic.

It works!
This is cheap, and so is very basic. It is more effective than I expected when I opened it originally, I try to use it to keep blades harp rather than sharpening when they are really getting blunt. You need to be careful of fingers as you set it up.

so I'm delighted to find this
This is a discovery! How many blades do we get through for clean, precise cutting? I deliberately left a blunting blade in one of my 45mm rotary cutters I use for quilting, so as to check this little device when it arrived. I used it straight away and was very impressed! The blade was completely rejuvenated! I'm not a gadget girl, but I do a lot of quilting and consequently, a lot of blades, so I'm delighted to find this. It's a very simple solution to blunting blades and full instructions and tips for use are provided under the cardboard topping of the bubble pack it arrives in. The first time of use you'll be tempted to use a 'twist n turn' wrist movement. Don't. Just follow easy instructions and turn one way only. At the moment, I have no idea how long the Disk will last, I guess it depends on usage, but considering I use quite a lot of blades, I might be able to advise on that at a later date. The item was received before ADD, well packaged and does what it promises. Definitely recommending product and Seller
