No flavour, very weak tea. I would not purchase again and had to throw away box we received as unfortunately was not drinkable. There is also no vanilla taste at all.

The tea I am reviewing is Taka Turmeric's Rooibos Vanilla Tea and the tea is activated by crushed black peppercorns.So, what is Rooibos?  Roibos is a red bush that grows in South Africa's fynbos and usually grown in the Cederberg, a small mountainous area in the Western Cape province of South Africa.The leaves go through oxidation and it produces a reddish brown color.  In fact, when you infuse the tea, it turns to a reddish brown color.  And Rooibos is known for not containing caffeine and has low tannin levels compared to black tea or green tea.With Taka Turmeric based in Cape Cod, it's quite cool to see the company releasing a tea quite popular in South Africa for many generations and it is quite similar to a hibiscus tea but more earthy.With a little black pepper and coconut, the tea is absolutely delicious and is made of 100% organic ingredients: Turmeric, Rooibos, Ceylon Cinnamon, Grated Coconut, Vanilla Pod and Black Pepper.The taste and smell is quite spicy and I believe it's the Ceylon Cinnamon with Turmeric combined with the Rooibos that you can smell.  The addition of the vanilla pod makes it a bit sweeter and not bitter at all.I tend to avoid bagged tea, as I'm more of a loose leaf tea drinker, but I have to say, Taka Turmeric teas are among the best tea bag-based teas out there.You get about 15 unbleached tea bags in one box and it's under $7!At a great price and a great tasting tea! The Taka Turmeric Rooibos Vanilla Tea is highly recommended!

This is an interesting tasting tea. I am not a tea aficionado by any means and or stretch of the imagination. I'm used to the typical store bought flavored teas. Lemon Zinger, Sleepytime, Lemon and Ginger of various brands. You, know, the usual stuff so for me this tastes different and exotic even. It says "Rooibos Vanilla", but I had no idea what Rooibos means, I just saw the word Vanilla and decided to try this. I take a turmeric supplement every day so I was excited to try turmeric tea. This is my 2nd turmeric tea ever and the second tea I have tried from this company specifically. Actually the first one I tried from this company was a Turmeric chai so I guess this is really the first tea I've had from this brand. The chai was fantastic and so is this tea!It's not like any vanilla tea I have had before. This tea has so much flavor depth! It isn't just vanilla and turmeric, this tea has spices and herbs, I mean I can taste a peppery kind of flavor and a bunch of other flavors I can not begin to identify but let me tell you, it is so good and so flavorful!! This is definitely my favorite vanilla tea that I've ever had and I highly recommend it!! Also Ihugely recommend their chai that comes in tea bags just like this. That is brilliant as well! Taka may be turning me into a tea snob lol!

This is high quality tea and they pack a lot into each bag and even tell you the exact percentage of each ingredient which is far beyond what most other brands do. (There's a whole gram of turmeric per teabag, making up almost 50% of the blend.)However, I will be honest that this isn't a heavily "dessert" flavored tea like other flavored vanilla teas so don't expect that. While this has grated coconut and vanilla bean powder, this has no added flavorings and you can't actually TASTE the vanilla or coconut which may be a bit disappointing to those used to more flavorings, artificial or natural. This tastes like rooibos, that's about it. Even the turmeric, although it makes up a large portion of this tea, isn't overwhelming. And there is zero hint of the included cinnamon.If you like plain rooibos tea, you'll like this. If you're looking for subtle ways to add the benefits of turmeric to your diet but are afraid of the strong, bitter flavor, this tea is a good place to start.100% organic ingredients, all whole, no synthetic additives. I tried the Turmeric Chai tea and was surprised by how much I liked it. So I thought I would like the vanilla version too, and I expected to like it AS much as the Turmeric Chai or even more. In this case, the turmeric drowned the vanilla and I couldn't taste coconut at all. So nothing special and overall I didn't care for the taste.

I wanted to add turmeric to my diet as it is known to have many healing properties, reduce swelling and just be good for us in general. I am sure glad I chose this tea as it is a great tasting solution to getting turmeric in your body. I tried the vanilla flavor and enjoyed it. The turmeric was not too overpowering, I have read that from other turmeric teas in the past they could only taste turmeric, but this one had a nice taste to it. The vanilla flavoring is just right, so in my opinion, it was delicious as I love vanilla.You1000mg of turmeric per bag & no caffeine. If you are looking for a drink that can help you stay or get more healthy, I highly recommend this tea.
