Q: What are the three layers made of? Is the inner layer a fleece or flannel?

Not flannel. Very thin pile fleece. Jacket is very thin but warmer than you think it could be.

Q: Would this jacket be warm enough for near freezing temps? Also, I'm just not sure what size to order. I am 5"8" and weigh 120 lbs.

Probably not the best for near freezing temps. I am using as a fall jacket, not a winter coat unless you layer a lot under it. Sizing is difficult as I think you would be between small and medium.

Q: Does this jacket have pockets on the inside

Yes it does. Generous pockets behind the outside pockets. It's where I keep my phone and wallet.

Q: Does the fit follow the amazon sizing recommendations or should i order a size up?

only a size up. We didnt provide the sizing; Amazon provides there own size charts.
