Apoxie Sculpt Modelling Clay – White

Best two part epoxy resin out there. sets rock hard and is drillable, sandable and can also be tapped if needed. Great for small repairs and also full model builds.

I bought this to make some props for a costume so I needed something durable, easy to use, that air dries and had a good working time. This product pretty much fulfills all of those requirements. It's easy to work with and adding a little water can help make it that much easier if required. It bonded fantastically with the base board I was using. It's smooth and handled right with the right tools you can get a very smooth finish. It sands well and you can do some carving to this after it has dried if carving it while it is workable is not possible or suitable. I cannot recommend this enough.

Very easy and simple to use, works a lot like clay. I use it as a way to tidy and clean 3D printed objects, and find it one of the best methods of creating smoother surfaces for them (along side sanding)

Rock solid when cured and a breeze to sand. Very sticky to begin with and a bit of a learning curve if your used to clay. Bonds brilliantly to plastic.

Apoxie Sculpt is an iconic product and well known and used in the world of modelling. It is a two part resin based compound that gives incredibly good results although the price tag is on the high side, but well worth it given the finished result. I have experimented with making my own version of a sculpt able modelling product and have achieved as near to perfect as I can get it but it still shrinks more than Apoxie Sculpt when dried. Apoxie Sculpt does need to be thoroughly mixed before use and it is important to get the quantiles right before mixing. To achieve this I use highly accurate balance scales or digital scales, otherwise the results can be slightly inferior or it becomes unworkable too quickly or takes far too long to dry.
