Ronseal always provide quality woodworking sealents etc. This knotting compound goes on well and is quick drying.

It seems to have solved the weeping knot problem on our pine garden office, - not too smelly quite easy to use, apart from the attached brush attached to the lid which was a bit silly. Repainted a few hours later and it now there is no evidence of the previous problem. Happy with the product, does the job and goes a long way, - treated a 2M x 5M garden office and still have a half tin left.

A little goes a long way. It seals knots to stop knots showing in your woodwork and prevents sap leakage that can blister your paintwork. Great idea having a little brush incorporated into the lid. Easy product to use. I only used about a quarter of the tin coving 1 metre high by 20 feet long to knot seal tongue and groove prior to painting (one application per knot). Time will tell if this has worked. I'll update this review if there are any issues.

I have used this for a long time on resinous knots in woodwork prior to painting. It appears to work well and certainly you see the effects if you don't use it. The brush in the lid is really useful and removes the need to clean brushes. One negative is that if you get any around the neck of the can and don't remove before putting the top on it sticks terribly and mole grips are required to remove it!

This seems to have done the job. I used 2 coats and it was easy to apply. The only downside was that it does not dry clear but a yellowy brown colour meaning that I could not use a clear varnish over the top and had to use paint to cover.
