Does it come with a meat temperature manual

Can I use it to test the pool water?

No idea on that we use it on food, but I suppose you can. It checks temp so it should. I have just checked it in glass of warm and it read 34deg, then I put it in the freezer and it went down to zero. So it will cover all that range. Hope this helps

I use mine to prod my cakes instead of a skewer. If it comes out clean, then it's cooked.
