Fantastic wireless cameras, so good I am now thinking of purchasing some indoor units as well.I did a lot of research into what was on the market before opting for these units. They are well engineered with an outer alloy casing, completely weatherproof and small enough to be discreet, they also come come ready fitted with a 32gb SD card.I set these up out of the box before installing in situ. Just download the Vimtag app, scan the QR code and follow the online instructions. I set mine up by plugging them into my router with the supplied ethernet cables, once you have done this they will function wirelessly without it. Your router needs to be set at 2.4 GHz.Mounting is simple affair and the units come supplied with screws and plugs (6 or 6.5mm drill bit for reference). The camera position can be adjusted in every plane by loosening the grub screws and rotating the unit.As all these types wireless cameras come with tail which includes a reset switch, power lead and ethernet connection, so you would have drill a substantial hole though your wall (25mm+) to pass them through. I got round this by fitting a weatherproof junction box nearby (£5, see photo) feeding the tail end into the junction box and then running the power cable out of the box and through the wall (10mm hole required). I purchased a three metre power extension lead (£2.50 Amazon) to give a total of five metres. You then just plug the supplied adapter into a three pin socket and you are good to go.Picture quality is outstanding in normal conditions and infra red night mode too. The various menus on the app, means you can constantly record 24/7, set specified recording periods or use movement sensors and recieve alerts if wanted. The interface is very user friendly and is infinitely adjustable. I can view realtime footage anywhere on my smart phone on. 4g or wi-fi connection.For the money they are incredible value and I would happily recommend them.

Yep it does everything i want although instructions are a bit vague becuae they are general. Dont bother trying to set up on WiFi, plug it into the router first! External units do not have Mic or speaker! Motion alarm is not good and tends to go off all the time, even when i have it scheduled to be disabled during the day. I bought two and it does increase the wifi traffic considerably! I bought BT whole home wifi as a result. Also noted one of cameras has gone off line 3x and you have to get up ladder with long ethernet lead to reset!Update Feb 18 after 9 months in service. reduced to 1 star rating because unit will now not reset and I am going to replace both. The updated firmware was a cause for frustration as it seems to be retrograde with pigeon English (laughable) instructions.When working the cameras are good with easy connection to IOS apps, setting alerts is a bit tricky as lots of nuisance alarms, rain, lights etc if you set it so it detects a person in range

Purchased 2 of these . Not all that . You keep getting alerts if it rains, if a flower slightly moves , if the sun moves and if your wifi signal drops for a split second( vimtag admitted this to me when emailed them) as I wasn't happy , It's just annoying . It also had issues working with iOS for about a week and alerts stopped coming through although that seems to be fixed for now. You have to keep constantly adjusting the sensitivity and you just end up not checking the alerts because a lot of the time they're are false. The picture quality is good but that's about it really. I find the Nest cam works much better and only alerts you when it detects a person or car is moving and it doesn't have you checking your phone every 10 minutes for no reason.

Looked at several of these cameras, and having returned another make and model, opted for this one. I found it easy to set up and connect to my home wifi. Downloading the apps was problem free too. Just need a bit of time going through and understanding the options. I found the instructions and web based information and instructions unhelpful. They were in a type of English! Using English words but having no real meaning! Thankfully it is nit difficult to operate and playback on your apps etc. I thought the videa quality was very good and there is also clear night vision in black and white. The motion alerts worked well on my android phone and you can choose from different sound alerts. The micro sd card is built into this model so cant be removed. This means you are relying on the Vimtag server to access your footage. Also the app turns off when you switch off the camera so again you cant access the footage, unless you have saved shots to your phone or tablet - which I did. Overall really pleased with the quality and what it does.

If you want a camera to watch traffic this is great but if like me you want to catch a nasty neighbor scratching your car its useless ,I have set it up properly and have great line of sight but they can walk right up to my car and I get no recording ,it will record the cars passing in the background HUGE WASTE OF MONEY !!!!

Recently bought this beautiful camera, after checked a lot of different ones.In my opinion the best one.I put outdoor coz I have a very rude neighbors and from the moment i put it out of my house for a bit of security my problems are solved!the camera is perfectly waterproof, the set up is very easy, just install the app, scan the QR square and it's good to go.The motion alert works very well, every time somethings is moving i receive photos and video.It's wifi and is possible to watch from my camera every where in the world where I can find a connection, so very good coz I use to travel a lot.Impressed with the prompt delivery just one day!

Really good camera very easy to setup you can use the barcode or you can manually input the number which are on the camera and the camera box which I cut out and save too use in the future to save me getting up a ladder this is the third camera i have Tried this one seems to be the best
