A useful addition to the kitchen
I bought this airfryer after a previous one broke and was sent back. It has a good capacity of 3.5kg. The controls are simple to use. Switch it on and set the temperature with a =/- switch and then set the time with another =/- switch or select one of the pre-program settings. Then press the start button and away it goes with an animated dial to tell you its cooking. The bowl slides out easily and you need to do this to give the food a shake every so often and then when you push it back it resumes cooking where it left off.In use quite a lot of heat comes out of a vent at the back so do be careful it is not up against anything that may burn and away from the wall. The bowl does get hot in use so be careful. Also you can detatch the cooking pan from the large bowl by pressing a button near the handle. WARNING : only do this when the pan is on a sold work surface or it will drop to the floor on your foot or worse break.Ok the Airfyer is good for cooking pretty much most things with a little imagination. Its great for items like chips, fries, pancake rolls, fish fingers etcYou do not need any oil....though you can use a little spray oil on the food to give that deep fried taste..if you want it but be careful not to over do it. I find many frozen items like fries and pancake rolls have quite a lot of oil already in them ( designed to go in the over) and thats enough for them to cook ok in the air fryer but some foods do need a little light spray of olive oil.I bought some silver aluminium foil dishes from ASDA that fit in the bottom of the cooking pan and saves it getting dirty. Its easier to wash the foil or change it and the dish helps with the cooking process.I have cooked many different foods in it and it works fine..it is after all a small fan assisted oven....its not a fryer in the sense of a deep fat fryer. So if you like that deep fried food like fish and chips and deep fried mars bars then you are going to be disappointed..maybe..a little.I find french fries are perfect in the air fryer. To judge cooking times I look at what it says on the packet..i.e 200 oC for 30 minutes..It does of course depend on whether the food is frozen or thawed. Packets on food often state cook from frozen so apply that rule to the airfryer. .then I set the airfryer to same temperature and adjust the cooking time to half that...give an take. You learn by practice. I think many books suggest 2/3 rds of the cooking time max. As a guide in my Airfrer two handfuls of frozen french fries + 200oC for 10-12 mins. You can adjust the time and temperature mid cooking. Now thats useful if the food inside it getting close to done and you are waiting on something else to be ready, say in the microwave...drop the temperature to keep it warm until everything is ready to serve. Ore if you find something it cooking a little too quickly then drop the temperature down as you would with an oven. You can stop the whole process by press the power button and it cools for a 30 secs and finishes. You can always re-start it again. You can mix foods. I cook fries and chicken nuggets in it at the same time but at 3.5 kg capacity it does get a little crowded in the pan.I strongly recommend you shake food about, such as fries, half way through the cooking process or more to get even cooking. If on the timer then at the end of cooking it cools for a minutes and then beeps loudly. The pan is dishwasher safe but not the plastic bowl or the fryer itself..obviously...but in truth it is easy to wipe out and if you use foil dishes as above it never gets dirty.I have to say that for many foods it has replaced the oven but you are not, dispite what you see in adverts, going to be able to cook a whole chicken in it..no way ever. I have cooked coated chicken legs and mushrooms etc in it fine.It is a valuable resource in the kitchen. I like it more than my wife. I like it because I can cook myself a quick meal in 10-15 mins with no mess and no fuss ..straight from the freezer.

Replacement for our old active fryer
Bought this after reading good things online about it.We’ve had an older version of an active fryer for around 3 years and we ended up braking the handle on the basket and so looked for a decent replacement. This is an awesome air fryer and not only functions well but looks good too. We’ve cooked chicken, potatoes and beef in it up to now and all cane out great.Using slightly more oil than they advise does seem to give better end results but this could just be personal preference.Amazingly good product.

I’m frying tonight
This is a mans machine I hate waiting for food, so end up eating rubbish bread, I just love this Airfryer, so far cooked chicken, pineapple in bread crumbs .. hey don’t knock it. Sweet potatoe fries , fish fingers, frozen chips and fish, all came out crispy, not quite as hot as say the big oven, but it’s cooked, there is a trick in catching the cooking time just right before it dries out which can be easy to do, if you forget or don’t check periodically as it cooks. It looks great and so easy to use. And test you have a mini over to take even camping if you wanted, gone of the days I just had beans on some leaky gas stove. The reason I only gave this 4 stars is because it doesn’t have a stop button, you have to use the mains switch or wait until it all finishes.Would I get another one, YES as you loose most of the fat and so is much more healthy than other cooking methods.

Air fryer for a healthy eating
Arrived very quickly and well packaged. Using this air fryer for everyday and cooks food perfect. Cooked chips, chicken, sausages, fish fingers. Especially chips comes out crispy. My kids love it. Very easy to use and clean. Well designed, looks lovely. This air fryer has the digital display for timer and temperature. Great for a healthy eating, don't need to use the oil.

Significant flaws
It works well, it’s a good capacity but the flaws are very disappointing. The controls are the wrong way around to the normal convention - increase time/temp is on the left, decrease is on the right. The cable came so tightly folded up that it has permanent kinks and will not go into the base for storage - so is a pain in the cupboard and not as neat as it should be. And whilst the basket cleans up nicely in the dishwasher, the screw holding the handle to the basket rusts - aside from having to wipe up rusty streaks when it comes out, I don’t know how long that will last.

Brilliant just brilliant but.......
Brilliant just brilliant. I've been pondering over having an air fryer for a while then my daughter purchased me this one for Xmas. I love it. Yiu can cook anything in it. I've done roast spuds, jacket spuds, onion rings, garlic mushrooms, chips, wedges, chicken, veg, bacon, sausage, garlic bread the list goes on.... Its so easy to clean I've had no issues at all. If you're thinking about an air fryer but aren't sure just get one. You won't look back they're brill. I love mine.Update. Having had the fryer only 10 months it's no longer closing properly. The inner pan keeps disconnecting from the outer one and I've had hot food fall onto my legs. Not sure I would purchase again.

A helpful fryer
Easy to operate and much faster than oven. It is bigger than I thought. The function is useful and enough for daily use. It make the food less oily. Really helpful fryer and worthy price.
