Safehaus PAL046B Cordless Personal Alarm - Black

I baught this for a friend who works at a hospital, she works alot of night shifts and as its winter it's still dark when she starts or finishes. It's easy to use by pressing the silver sides and to turn off you press the bottom black button. It's better then a cord pulling alarm as you may likely have your hands in your pockets while walking home in the cold. But be careful as it is easy to set it off. The sound is very loud infact I had a near heart attack when I accidentally set it off before reading instructions. But it is A good product and worth it

When I pressed the button it gave me a jump scare, because I was not expecting to be ear piercing loud. Definitely, made my son and dog run with fear whilst I had my heart racing and an unstoppable laughter. Amazing product, I hope I do not need to use it but if I have too, people must prepare to run , including myself, as it can leave just anyone disoriented. Also, it may give you time to get out of tricky situation.

Very good. I am going to wear it on my belt so it shouldn't go off accidentally. I encourage anyone who is using this to use it on their belt or use it on a place that isn't likely to go off.I pressed the sides to test it. The sound is piercing and I feel so much more confident knowing I can see this thing off. Whenever I feel under threat. It could add valuable time to an escape and scare off the attacker.You also have the advantage of feeling more confident with this thing, so an attack is less likely. Attackers usually go for vulnerable looking people.

For one it's so easy to set off! You don't need to press both sides! One side accidentally pressed sets it off. Anyway I'm on a walk today when it goes off and it's hanging from the side of my bag. Nothing touched it I press the off button and it doesn't stop! I'm pressing the off button over and over and it just keeps going off again and everyone in the park is staring at me. I had to stamp on it over and over as there is no way to open it to get the batteries out without a screwdriver! Even after smashing it it's still going off so I had to get the batteries out after smashing it up!

Easy to use, can be kept in pocket or handbag or hang from a small carabiner with no risk of accidental deployment as no dangling cord- it is operated by pressing the two tabs on either side so can easily be triggered without it being obvious.

Okay firstly ive only tested this and not had to use it. This alarm is designed to be held to an attackers ear. In an emergency this would disorientate your attacker long enough for you to run away (hopefully). This is due to the sheer fact that most people will simple ignore an alarm going off. This is why it activates whilst gripping both sides. If clipped onto a bag like intended its not going to accidently go off. Its well built and well designed. For the price this is a bargain.

well at first try it frighten the life out the dogs so that verified its loud and worked. its a little bigger than expected and if your putting on a keyring I'd advise not to have loads of keys on it or it will get scratched or broken. I bought it for my partner so that when ever she gets out of her car at night she feels more safe as she has the alarm. easy to switch on and off would of been great to have a little torch on the end of it so if when trying to unlock your car you could see where you going and the keylock but still value for money

This device is truly aweful. Nasty cheap construction, it has one huge flaw... its is operated by squeezing both sides of it, the upside of this means it can be set off with one hand. However, the switches are very weak, so in a pocket or bag it constantly goes off, in fact even picking it up gently can set it off.But dont worry, you wont scare the cat, as the volume of the alarm is no more than loud, I doubt it would frighten away anyone.
