WOW Factor for Musical Journey
The media could not be loaded. IBANEZ artist NOMAD,FYI, I am a pro musician of 50 years standing, and play IBANEZ,reviewing 10 of the best available here on Amazon over the last 2 years...Bass is the foundation, and this instrument is a solid foundation for aspiring musicians and future bassists. You get a lot of bass guitar for your money in this classy rendition. The model is a trusted formula,4 string, with copious amounts of volume and tone control, and the addition of bass boost over the 180 in this model ..more deep sounds, even at lower volumes..nice! ...simple to play and tune,it is stylish and suits many bass techniques, including slap, with a full sound, and dare I say a sweet Rickenbacker sound for YES fans..strings are good quality, standard,an active instrument regardless of standard, this sounds gr8.. love the slim smooth neck...my only caviat would be to say ,a 3 quarter size model would be better for under15, because of range and comfort...for everyone else,a fantastic bass for introductory pricing,a solid BUY!

Package was not secured, hence overall 4*.
The product itself is great. It came literally ready to play; the guitar was even tuned. But the oryginal box was not secured whatsoever. guitar could be easily damaged in transport as the factory box wasn't sealed or secured by placing it in another box. So, from me, -5 stars for Amazon. If not for the fact that the guitar is of good quality and I need it desperately for tomorrow, it would be returned straight away. The allen keys that should be inside were missing. So, if you are going to buy one of these, check the box on delivery. Overall, very good value for money.

Perfect for beginners
As a beginner, I find this bass guitar perfect. Despite some negative reviews on YouTube, I chose it for its good looks and active electronics. To my surprise, it delivers excellent sound quality, especially when paired with an Orange bass combo. I previously owned a more expensive Yamaha 504, which was well-built, but this bass offers great value and sound, making me prefer it and sell the Yamaha. I enjoy playing it in my spare time and am very satisfied with my choice.

Great bass for the money
Things have obviously moved on! A few nay sayers about this bass but I can’t see any issues at this level. For the money I can’t fault this bass, nice finish, good action, decent components throughout, I’d recommend for a beginner or some one getting back into it, easily see you through learning to play and onto gigging or as a studio bass, very happy with the guitar, price and the service.

The Ibanez GSR 200 is a great bass
I’ve been using bass loops for a couple of years now and seem to have pretty much exhausted that source. I’ve also used sequencers but it’s just not the same as an actual bass guitar. The resonance and sustain is pretty much in a league of its own when it comes to playing and recording. I usually play a Fender Tele so I know my way around a fretboard and after researching, I thought the Ibanez GSR 200 would be the best choice: I’m not disappointed, it’s a great bass guitar with a great sound and ideal for beginners and experienced alike.

My husband loves this bass for all the reasons bass players love basses… And I love it because it looks beautiful and isn’t an eyesore haha

Ibanez GSR 200
The Ibanez GSR 200 is a great bass for beginners and also for people who know there way around a fretboard. However if you are an accomplished bassist I would look for a higher standard bass like a Fender, for example. If you are thinking of playing a bass in a band like I am, I would certainly recommend this bass to you, as it provides an excellent tone and the pickups are worth there value. The price of this guitar is well thought out; the bass is certainly worth its value in money, accomplishing its full potential. As a buyer of this guitar I would recommend buying this bass and other Ibanez products, as they are perfect for beginner basses and provide great quality. This product scored 4th place on the top four basses, however this bass is much better than second place which is an Encore, and could be worthy opponent to 3rd place; the Yamaha. This product obviously isn't the best on the market as the Fenders and also Gibson basses are a lot better, but this product performs a lot better than Encore, Stagg and would challenge Yamaha basses. If you are this type of person, I really would buy this bass as it produces high quality and is not low range suggested by its price. This really is an excellent bass.
