Noisy Farm (Usborne Noisy Books)

This is a fantastic, educational book to introduce your little one to animals on the farm. The book is brightly illustrated and the board pages are very tough meaning they will withstand rough handling/drooling/sticky fingers. It reads;It's early in the morning on the farm. The noisy cockerel says ... Cock-a-doodle-doo... and wakes up the sheep. Baaaa, BaaaaThe noisy sheep wakes up the horse. The horse says ... Neeeighhhh... and wakes up the cow. MoooooThe noisy cow wakes up the donkey. The donkey says ... Eeee-or... and wakes up the pig. Oink OinkThe noisy pig wakes up the dog. The dog says ... Woof, Woof... and wakes up the cat. MeeeeeowAll the noisy animals have woken up the farmer, and he shouts ... "What a noisy farm!"Each page has a picture of the animal who is woken up detailed on a thick tab, meaning it is very easy to navigate to a specific page. I find this fantastic for asking my son to find a animal visually. The 9 'buttons' on the side of the book are quite sensitive and my son can press them easily. The sounds themselves are very realistic, my son will happily sit and press the buttons and repeat the sound.The story is simple to follow but very engaging. It is a firm favourite in our house, I would highly recommend.I hope this review was helpful.

My baby loves this and so do i. It's very well made and sturdy. A simple story with lovely bright colours and great animal noises.

This is so interactive and educational for my toddler who loves sound books.

A simply great book, big and bright, beautifully illustrated with an introduction of one animal on each new page - the buttons next to the pages reproduce the sounds that the animal makes, quite realistic but I would still prefer original animal sounds because I noticed that each language reproduces animal sounds quite differently (e.g. those sounds in English are different from sounds in French and Russian) so it can be a bit confusing for the baby. I gave this book 4 stars for that and two more reasons: 1. the buttons are not so easy to press - my 14-month old still has difficulty pressing them except for the last button imitating all the animal voices at once. 2. Beautiful and attractive as the book is, my baby is not as attracted to it as to her old and simple board books, especially the "Good night, moon" which remains her absolute favorite since, I would say, birth.

Good quality and nicely illustrated. Animal noises are great fun. Purchased for my grandson's first birthday.
