Very hard to install but it does solve the error code.
I have hundreds of hours doing do-it-myself work on my cars over the years but getting the crank pulley pulled out enough (even with a puller) was one of my toughest jobs.This certainly fixed the problem with my Avalanche and it's running great again.Please do yourself a favor and only get OEM (ACDelco) parts - this is not the job you want to do again because a less-than-$40 sensor from some third party Asian company cut corners and didn't have the quality of this one.

Didn't Fit
I have a 2008 Silverado 5.3 engine. All the websites that sell this part (to include this one) that I checked all said this is the part for my truck. After trying to install it, I couldn't get it to fit. By the pictures, the diameter of the sensor is too large to fit in the engine block. As you can see, there are other issues as well to include how it is mounted and may interfere with the installation of the starter that is mounted just below this sensor. I'm sure it fits other vehicles, but if you have one like mine, then you'll need 213-3520 or 12585546 (taken directly off the old part). Hope this helps.
