Purchased these to hang some new oak doors I purchased. They were delivered on time, however Evri driver left them on the doorstep and pressed the bell and left, 8 hours later someone visiting our house pointed them out to me. We live on a busy rd so very surprised they were still there! The chisels seem very good quality and are sharp straight from the very nice and handy storage box, as a confident DIYer I can say that so far they have handled the job very well. I’ve done 4 or the doors and the chisels that I’ve used are still sharp, with no bouncing, the handles appear well made. Overall I’m very impressed, just a shame about the delivery issue otherwise would have given 5 stars.

Seem well made ,haven't used yet and although the chisels are sharp , they all have a burred edge which will need removing before use - so far very happy

As an ex carpenter / boat builder, I am impressed with this set. They are actually sufficient for all general softwood building tasks though, not being double-drop forged steel, they may need frequent sharpening when using hardwoods. Even so, they still hold a very decent edge when sharpened correctly. They are housed in a strong impact-resistant protective case with a sharpening stone and sharpening guide for the less experienced to achieve the right angle. All of the chisels are correctly hollow ground (essential for fine shavings to 'roll' and not fracture causing break lines). Only a very small leading edge needs stoning before deburring. I have read in reviews that the chisel edges are jagged. However, this is the natural outcome of the grinding and never intended as any usable finished edge. That must be done by the owner using the stone provided. Please note that proper sharpening as well as use of chisels is a skill acquired after much practice. So, are these chisels worth buying? Most definitely, yes. Though not the finest (expensive) quality steel, any carpenter could earn a living with this set. Frankly, for general building carpentry, they are more than adequate, and amasing value for money.

The chisels quality is good for the price, the plastic case does not secure 2 chisels in place without having to press very hard which eventually will break the plastic. The sharping stone is good as a sharp chisel make the job easier. The chisels do the job so for the price the plastic isn't a reason not to buy. I may have a case with a bit more plastic that may with use become easier to secure the chisels in place if the plastic doesn't crack first. So 5 stars and I'll report back if the plastic issue changes.
