Likes: I like the focusing mechanism. It moved smoothly and held adjustments. I was able to zoom in via the app and not refocus. The microscope's light illuminated the object quite well. The app loaded easily and works intuitively if you are familiar with smart phone photo albums and icons. I easily took photos with the app and phone with a stationary bud on the stand and the scope in its holder. (Photo 1). I then took the scope to my tent to see what I could see without cutting off a bud. (Photo 2). I did not turn off the tent fans, and I got this shot of the moving bud. I believe I will be able to see the stages of development I expect to see.Dislike: It took time to figure out how to connect to the scope's wifi. I did have to turn off something in my phone's settings. I believe the provided written directions explain this, but it wasn't immediately clear to me what to do. I persevered and got it.Overall, I'm very happy with this microscope's build quality and price point.

The device is easy to put together and set up.It does a good job at magnifying very small objects.Photos are easy to take (can be snapped on the device itself or on your mobile device using the app).Built in LEDs are bright and has 3 settings.Gooseneck arm is very flexible.Tested it to magnify the tiny 5 mm tall flower of a miniature orchid (Lepanthes sp.) and a US dime. Attached photos are of these 2 things.Just cropping the photo using the basic editing tool on a cellphone adds to the enlargement of the photo.

After a hour of trying to get it to work it worked for 30 seconds then went to black and white for another 30 seconds then stopped working all together DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT IT'S GARBAGE

Now that I have seen one of these, I understand their limitations. They DO NOT magnify objects 1000x or anywhere close to that. They have an adjustable magnifying lens and the 2 MP CMOS camera sensor captures the image. You are then expected to digitally zoom in as mush as you want, but it doesn't give any more detail, just bigger pixels. The real magnification is maybe 20 - 30x tops. It's OK for looking at leaves or insects, but that's about it. If you really want to magnify things enough to see more detail, look at spending more money on one with a much bigger CMOS sensor - the better ones can go up to 24 MPs or so.

DM1 model.It works decently but only with the app. I tried many cables and different PC’s. Windows nor the windows camera app would ever recognize it. I cant use it with a PC.I emailed customer support. They said it’s a driver free device. Try another cable. Hahaha!It’s works for the price point, but not exactly lol. I’ll be looking for a higher quality name brand scope, with support to go with it.Overall, I’d (probably) recommend it ONLY because it’s cheap, and ONLY if ya wanna take a gamble. I sorta lost this time.Update! I guess I was impatient. Customer service was very friendly in addressing my issue and will be sending me a new replacement for free. I changed my rating from 2 to 4 stars mainly because of good TOMLOV customer support.

I was really blown away at the quality of the photo's, make sure you have a stand or tripod for it as the slightest movement with your hand makes for a blurry picture at this magnification. Amazing software that sends your photo wherever you want it to go or immediately projects to your phone/Laptop in real time to identify that the picture you are about to take is indeed what you want ... LOVE IT !!

This is a great scope well worth the price very easy to get set up and start using

I use this for work to collect pictures of print quality. I love that it's wireless and is stable enough to stand on its own on my print samples. I can collect my pics fast than ever by connecting to my phone and snapping with the button on the device, no laptop or cords to get in the way. I plan to try it outside in nature this spring with my grandkids. Battery life so far is excellent.
