The plastic handles are nice to hold. The metal blades feel sturdy but I can’t really comment on the metal’s hardness yet. But the scissors are very sharp out of the box. Then it is the all important joint that allows the blades to come apart, it is great! When locked in, the joint doesn’t feel loose yet gives a smooth rotation which allows for easy scissoring. The joint is also very intuitive to separate and reassemble the blades. The blades themselves have just the right amount of bend to touch tight, which gives a good shear but doesn’t create too much resistance. For the price, I feel I have a quality product made with precision (all about the joint). When the time comes I can imagine it is much easier to sharpen this pair of scissors.

These are good quality reliable kitchen shears at a fair price. I've had a pair for years and use them for a wide range of kitchen tasks. I like them well enough that I recently got a new pair for my son. They are well made. The blades keep an edge and sharpen up well. The two halves come apart for easy cleaning and sharpening - I wouldn't buy a pair of kitchen shears that didn't have this essential feature.

I would not say these scissors are the sharpest in the world but they seem to be fairly well made. Crucially the blades separate for cleaning. If you open the scissors fully the blades simply come apart using a sort of cam arrangement with a magnet to help keep them together. I have only had them a short while so I cannot comment on their durability.

Apart from the obvious, I am pretty old and arthritic and my previous pair of scissors I had which you could take apart were bought in Singapore 40 years ago - They were Japanese, never needed sharpening and were brilliant to use as bottle openers. Three days ago I couldn't find them - I think they must have been thrown out by mistake. I spent nearly all day looking for them - even in my bedroom though what I might have taken them upstairs for I can't imagine! I rushed to Google, found these wonderful scissors that you could take apart. They arrived the next afternoon, splendidly packaged and work like a dream. I shall mourn my previous ones but am delighted with the replacement.

I was apprehensive given some of the reviews about the scissors coming apart while cutting. I think you must have monster hands for that to happen. I got these for everyday kitchen stuff and for cutting fins off whole fish. Nice and sharp. The blades come apart and rejoin easily - when I want - not by accident. Some scissors start to wobble and a gap forms between the blades. Not these. Recommended. Would buy again. Buy without worry.

Wüsthof are a great brand. I have a Wüsthof chef's knife that I use almost every day. These scissors are well put together, have quality materials, easy to clean, sturdy, and came very sharp. Great value. Not very large, so if you need long scissors, look for something else.

They work fine as scissors and it’s handy that they come apart so they can be used as a knife of sorts but they come apart a bit too easily which means it can happen when you don’t want it to

I've had these scissors for three years now, especially useful for cutting and trimming meat. They're still nice and sharp, and really easy to keep clean. They've already paid for themselves when I take into account the number of pairs of cheap kitchen scissors I'd bought previously.

We LOVE it! Especially for cutting meat and bacon and opening wet packages. It holds well but is easy to disassemble for washing and drying. Which is great because we have lost many kitchen shears to rust thanks to humidity and water accumulating in the joints

Was diese so besonders macht, ist der super einfache Reinigungsmechanismus: auseinander drehen, spülen, trocknen, schnell wieder zusammenbauen. Das geht fix und ist sehr hygienisch. So nutzen wir diese Schere auch für Geflügel! Einfach mit der Schere zerteilen, hinterher alles spülen, ohne dass Siff oder Keime (mehr oder weniger unsichtbar) in der Schere bleiben. Absolut top für jede Küche!

These are great kitchen shears. I've had them for 5 years now and they are still going strong and cut as good as the day I bought them. I use these for just about everything from cutting whole chickens, cutting fresh herbs off the plant, cutting string, cutting open plastic deli meat packages and I'm a bit ashamed to admit, I've even used them as a make shift slotted and philips head screwdriver on a few occasions. The bottle opener works well but I have a dedicated bottle opener that I find easier to use. Cleaning wise, these are super easy. They come apart when you form a 90 degree angle with the blades and these just come apart. It makes washing them super simple and unlike scissors that do not come apart, I know that I am cleaning in between the blades, which is so important especially after cutting chicken and then switching to vegetables.
