Leonis 30 Color Handy Polyester Sewing Threads 45 m / 50 yds Each [ 93011 ]

Having read the reviews, I was expecting these to be small, but I needed a particular colour for sewing on a scouts badge and this was as close as I could get. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised. They aren't the biggest reels, but no smaller than any other mutipack of thread I have purchased, and if you read the length, you actually get more yards than many sets. I will of course end up needing more black, white and navy at some point in the next couple of years, as those the colours I use most, but this is an ideal starter set. It gives me everything I need for sewing on badges, crafts and activities,and the occasional repair job. I did find the thread of very good quality. It is easy to cut and thread the needle, no fraying, catching or kinking. I did sew one patch on the wrong place and found this thread nearly impossible to break. I had to cut each individual strand, but normally being strong is a good thing. I will look for this maker when the time does come that I eventually run out of a colour, or need one not provided. My only complaint is that I would have liked another shade or two of purple or violet.

Good little set, you get a great range of colours! They come in a lovely case that keeps them all neat and tidy which I love, better than them piled up rolling around the bottom of my sewing box! They also come with a threader which is nice. The thread itself seems very strong, won't easily snap like cheap thread. They are small so you don't expect them to last ages if you sew a lot, I don't sew regularly (just the odd fix here and there) so they're perfect for me.

Threads are strong.

These are good to have options as various colors to fix up any odd things that may come among. The 50yd set I bought is most suited for hand sewing, but I was able to use them in my machine without any issues as well. The are of small size, see my photo for reference.
