Great
Good quality, nice size, fast seed growth, easy to put together, lightweight

Good overall
Pretty happy with it and the grass grows fast, my cats love it so far - however my main annoyance with it is that the lid keeps popping up the more it grows and then pushing it down just seems to squash some of the grass.. I would maybe use less seeds next time.

Planter good substrate rubbish
5 stars for the planter itself as its a good idea to separate the grass from the substrate. But the substrate i think isn't so good. This is a photo of cat grass planted at the same time one week ago. The two on either side of the planter has normal compost and the planter in the centre is the substrate sent with the planter. It's barely started growing, so although I recommend the planter I don't recommend using the substrate.

Grass doesn't grow
The planter looks nice and is of good quality, however the grass doesn't even grow. I followed the instructions and even after a week not a single seed grew. Perhaps I've got a bad batch but I tried all of the bags in the box and not a single packet worked.

My Cat loves this!
This is a great product and my cat loves nibbling his grass! It is easy to use and grow. He has not knocked it over or dislodged the dish at all. 2 pieces of advice: 1. When you purchase the dish the package contains one set of vermiculite and seeds to get you started. I bought the growing pack as well as I did not realise that the dish came with a full size starter set. 2. Plant half (or less) of the seeds you are given. I planted the entire pack and so much grass grew (see my photo) that it pushed the sieve-like growing cover (see photo) off! I’m quite sure this batch of grass will die before my cat eats it all!! I will definitely plant less seeds next time.

Mixed results
Mixed feelings re. This product. On a positive note, the grass seeds grew quickly and there was plenty of it. The cat enjoyed it, the low profile planter would be less likely to tip over, and it’s pba free. However, I was somewhat disappointed by the incorrect product description, design flaws & a lack of clear instructions. Firstly, I purchased extra seed as product description said no seed included, only to discover there was seed and vermiculite material included in the 2.0 planter box (other customers have reported otherwise though). As the grass started to look unhealthy after 2 weeks, the extra seed will at least get used. The planter did not come with written instructions, but the images on the box suggested you sprinkle seed on top of vermiculite ‘soil’, water and keep an eye out for sprouting. Seemed a little strange that you didn’t need to cover seed in any ‘soil’, and the images showed a thinner sowing of seed, so wasn’t sure if I should sow all the seeds. Checked the website which gave completely different instructions, suggesting you soak seeds overnight first then mix with the vermiculite. Still wasn’t clear if needed to use all the seed packet, but seeing as I had purchased extra seed, I used the full packet. Instructions suggested fitting the green mesh cover, designed to keep the grass in place, once the seed germinated. If you put the cover on and lock securely in place as designed however, you can’t easily remove it again to check if the soil is moist enough or to drain any excess water collecting in the collection dish underneath that might otherwise cause mouldy / stagnant conditions. If you do manage to remove the cover to check, the growing grass won’t allow you to put it back in place and it just sits awkwardly on top preventing the grass from coming through. In the end I had to leave it off. Even if you resist the urge to check if the grass is suitably watered and leave the mesh in place, it doesn’t prevent the cat pulling the whole grass blades complete with seed and some soil anyway. Finally, I found the grass went an unhealthy yellow after two weeks. Not sure if that was a watering issue (easily goes dry if you can’t check on the soil) or if it was just the lower light conditions at this time of year. I have therefore decided, reluctantly, to put it away until the spring. You could no doubt tweak for optimum growing conditions to ensure your cat has a regular supply of cat grass that also lasts longer than I have been able to achieve so far. Cat-it could certainly help on that front by improving the product design and providing clearer instructions.

LOVE IT!!!! Vet Nurses review.
I bought two of these with the hope that one is always growing whilst one is being munched so I can switch them over and give the one a rest or replant if necessary. Wow! My cats love it!!!! I’m a vet nurse and my indoor cats do get hairballs from over grooming - this has already helped and got their inner pipes working well!! When the packages came I quickly mixed seeds and soil stuff together and watered (no seeds on paper or anything like that) I panicked that I’d done it wrong after but it grew and grew and the picture shown of both was at 10 days after planting. If I were to do it again all I’d do differently is soak the seeds In a mug of water (maybe for 6/8/10 hours to soften the shell and they may sprout even quicker but honestly don’t make it complicated - soil, water and seeing some sunlight and nature takes over! Thankyou so much for this! I’m a big fan!

The smell is awful
Sinks of manure. The planter is well made but the growing medium seems to be dried manure which starts to smell when wet.

Calidad buena.

I just bought a second planter to go in Julius' play tracks and after reading earlier reviews, I understood this was JUST a planter, no seeds. After buying a separate seed/vermiculite kit (x3), this arrived and it IS the complete set! No harm in having extra, I guess. Now for the good stuff. My cat absolutely LOVES his grass and this is a great setup for him. There aren't instructions but it was easy enough to google so I didn't screw it up (even though I still did). You'll notice in the photo below (where King Julius is holding court over his stuff) that the planter is missing the green topper that the grass grows through–do not, under any circumstances, let your curiosity take over and pull that lid off as the grass starts to peak through! You won't get it back on–it’s like trying to stick an open tent into its bag. Curiosity killed this cat. It's VERY easy to grow, but I suggest using only half the seeds–it’s more than enough to get some full greenery! And, I spritz it with water bottle once a day. It's lasted now two weeks with him sucking on the ends 24-7 (he’s Siamese, he likes to suck on things…) and it’s still green. The store-bought stuff would be browning by now. I bought the second planter after the green top debacle. It doesn’t make too much of a difference–the vermiculite and sprouts are solid in there–but it would look nicer if the planter was whole. Plus, Julius gets cranky without his grass and moving forward, I intend on growing these properly and swapping them out as needed. HIGHLY recommend! Paws up to Catit! ** My only complaint (minus my failure to follow instructions) is that it took Amazon FOUR days to deliver, even though I selected one-day shipping with Prime. Odd because it was in stock. Next time I need something for him, i'll likely just get it from the pet store. It's quicker.

Did NOT come with substrate/seeds and purchased separately. It actually says it very clearly on the box that it doesn’t come with seeds. Do not believe the reviews that say they got seeds and purchase a bag along with this item.

Perfekt für alle bei denen es schnell und einfach gehen soll. Funktioniert prima, die Katzen lieben es und danach kann alles in der Spülmaschiene gereinigt werden. Bei mir ständig im Gebrauch. Top!
