Wow. Oculas is so much more advanced than Google's Cardboard and Plasticbag. There is no eye width adjustment on this Gear VR (2)(2016) model (black with side touchpad). But it is not needed as t he lens are 110° - alot bigger than Googles goggles. Also no frame or edges as seen in the Gear VR2 goggles. As with my Plastic Cardboard (Plasticbag) the white frame and Samsung logo can be seen. Cardboard - and plastic versions are good but Oculas is so much more 3d and more 3d between background and objects between your eyes and the background. Pros More advanced than Cardboard. Netflix 360 as standard VR player as standard VR2 is now 50% cheaper Remember this is VR not AR. This is Oculas VR and not Oculas AR. You roam around a 360° world as photo or video background (vr) and not (ar) that it is 3d graphically drawn up by gpus and you can go anywhere like in a RPG. VR to move you see a icon in the world like googlemaps street maps and that runs another 360° photo video, VR games mix this method with photo video with overlayed 2d graphics. Lots of free demos and free real full apps to use. When software eventually installed and you get running - it all works. Connects to phone by USB and proxiemty sensor when putting googles on turns Oculas on automactically and instantly. When remove phone, Oculas quits to phone Social media and sms and phonecalls come in when in Ocuals system and apps as 3d message bubbles. Buttons and touchpad are on rightside of headset. Headset eye sponge and holder are so soft and comfortable. Cons Not compatable with Cardboard unless emulator or app has convertor. You have to have a facebook account You have to have a Oculas account 15mins on a Samsung S7Edge and heat alarm. Can be very bizare installing for the first time... Like Windows 95 was with lots of additional software - keeps asking to hit install button, then wanting you to join facebook and then Oculas account needs facebook account to make a Oculas account. GearVR will not work without a facebook acount. Install stuff from Oculas shop and first install only when connected via broadband and your mobile data switch off. First install ins 350MB and apps are around 100MB to 700MB each then some stream. Buy a Cardboard as well to get use to GearVR as a taster. Cardboards made in plastic "Plasticbag" cost no more than £10 and uses Google Play so apps are mostly free. Have not worked out yet how to get sound working. FAQ. Can not get bluetooth controller This is because 1)You need a facebook account. 2)You need the GearVR googles. ) You can not use GearVR controller without a GearVR headset - it will not work. The GearVR controller is bluetooth but only will actually control anything via the Oculas software and not Cardboard or HID compatable. Everyone is having this problem - and thinking buying the controller for Cardboard or Plasticbag Cardboard. Different between VR 2015 (silver) and VR2 2016 (black). The VR2 does not need the extra controller pad.

This device is amazing, fits my samsung s7 perfect. So easy to use just plug your phone in the vr, push down the button clip that says A B and slide towards your phone and it adjust to fit and hold your phone in place, when your phone is connected to the vr it automatically comes up on your phone and tells you what to do next, its as easy as that. The thing that bothered me before buying was how would you move around in the games did i need a controller ? No you dont the vr as a touch pad at the side of the vr and back button also zoom to adjust for your eyes. Most games and apps you will use the touch pad and others you move around with a tiny white dot infront of you or some times it tells you to look at something and you will move. You dont even need to charge the vr it uses the battery from your phone it can drain your battery thats only because i cant keep of it, you get a connection thing that comes with the VR so you can charge your phone when its in the VR. It will make your eyes go funny after first use, but after that its no problem your eyes adjust. the head straps all adjust so no matter how big or small your head is it will fit. I find it very comfortable to wear. Do be warned of hunted house game and face your fears it is most definitely a very real feeling i nearly broke the VR and my phone but luckily when i jumped out my skin i was near my settee so saved my vr. One more thing if your not good on rollercoasters like me and you go on the VR rollercoasters it made me feel sick and dizzy..i know im sounding like a real wimp but this does feel so real you will not be disappointed at all.

Great, high-quality VR set for reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Gear VR if you own S6/S7 mobile already. (also it should be S8 compatible, but I didn't have a chance to test it yet) It's a full scale VR experience - 360 videos, 3D apps, your own virtual cinema for the movies. Virtual cinema looks really impressive, like a huge screen. Pros - Technical quality is excellent. - A lot of free content in Oculus store and Samsung VR. - If you have DLNA-compatible media center, you can play your content through Samsung VR (you will need to manually enable DLNA in Samsung VR app settings). Cons - It works with topline Samsung mobiles only (S6 and up). - The premium content in Oculus store might look expensive, few times more than an average Android app. - Cardboard compatibility issue - though it is possible to run cardboard applications, it requires some tech tricks and workarounds. Tips - Swinging chair is the most comfortable option. - Battery life: my S6 lasts about 1.5-2 hrs, going from 100% to 10%. Summary: It's a fantastic VR experience. I would give it 5 stars if it had an official Cardboard support. PS. I received a Chinese version (box and manual) for some reason, though the hardware itself works fine and all apps are in English.

Ottimo prodotto. Arrivato in condizioni intatte in scatola nuova e sigillata. Nella confezione sia attacco micro-isb sia tipo-c ed anche un'adattatore micro-usb/tipo-c. Comprando il controller a parte mi sono ritrovato con la stessa configurazione del modello 2018 pagando quasi la metà. Consigliato, ma fate attenzione a controllare se il vostro dispositivo non sia troppo spesso, il mio s8 si incastra senza problemi.

Produit livré rapidement et en bon état. Si vous avez un Samsung, c'est le gadget idéal pour faire connaissance avec la VR. Il est compatible aussi bien avec les S6 et S7 qu'avec les S8, même si ce n'est pas écrit sur la boite. Bien sur ce n'est pas un casque de VR pro, mais c'est bluffant ! A utiliser toutefois avec modération après les repas.

Hab das Teil als Ergänzung zu meiner Samsung Gear 360 erworben. Damit kann man die 360 Grad Bilder fast realistisch ansehen. Es ist wirklich erstaunlich, das es die Kamera schafft ein fast perfektes "Rundumbild" zu schaffen. Beim betrachten mit der VR Brille macht sich ein Drehstuhl gut aber vorsichtig beim nach oben schauen, da kann man leicht mal vom Stuhl fallen :-). Die Perspektive ist einfach genial.

Alles perfekt. Habe sehr lange gezweifelt aufgrund der Bewertungen. Bei mir war ausreichend Platz zur Nase im Gegensatz zu allen anderen billig VR Brillen die fast so viel wie diese hier kostet. Apps runterladen von Samsung und schon kommt man in die VR Welt. Die Ränder sind perfekt man fühlt sich wie in echt. Apps sind kostenpflichtig aber gut umgesetzt. YouTube und allgemein Filme machen mega Spaß. Das alles auf dem S7 Edge.
