Qualtex Cooker Hood/Extractor Grease Filter (Twin Pack)

These are a perfect size for me. I can cut them exactly in half and they cover my filter slot perfectly in my cooker hood. This is my second order of the very same ones. Had others before and they don't last. There's no time limit I can set on exactly how often a change of them is needed as it all depends on what you cooking and how often. There's a printed area that when it looks kind of smudged then I change mine. There's a good set of instructions and if you follow them you can't go wrong. I recommend them highly as this is my second purchase and will be back when needed. I just hope they're still manufactured. Very easy to install all and frankly I found them excellent value for money.

Quality good, looks good does the job

We've tried many different makes of filters in our cooker hood. - expensive ones and cheap ones. Some seem to do very little, others allow the grease to pass through, resulting in a pool of oil visible at the bottom of the hood fitting. These, however, do exactly what you want them to do: absorb the grease, hold it properly in the fabric, and alert you by an obvious change in colour when it's due to be changed. The actual pattern may be different to that shown in the picture, but the process is just the same. These are bigger than we need but simple to cut to size with scissors. They last well too. There are two in the pack, so you'll always have a spare to tide you over until your next order arrives (which it will do very quickly from Qualtext themselves). And who could argue with the price - they're excellent value for money.

Easy to fit and does the job efficiently

Item received is not the one shown here which is a big shame. This product is good, but not as thick as the magic filter advertised with the maple leaf. It is thinner. However for the price it will do the job.

This cooker hood grease filter came in a 2-pack, so pretty good value for money. However, at this point not sure how long they will last. My existing grease filter came new with the cooker hood and was a lot thicker than this item. The one purchased looks and feels like absorbent paper. Having done some investigation, this seems to be the way forward for this type of disposable item, maybe to keep the cost down as they need changing regularly. The filter came in one-size and needed cutting down to size. This was no problem as you just use your existing one as a template. Some questions/reviews have been on which way the filter is placed in the cooker hood. One side of the filter has tiny spots on it. I put the side with the spots on facing downwards so you can (only just) see the tiny spots through the hood grill. Not sure if they should have gone the other way. Overall, I don't believe it matters which side goes where - other than the spotty-pattern, the material is same both sides so it won't affect the efficiency of it.

Really pleased with this replacement filter. Cut to fit my cooker hood and loads left over for future use.
