The briquets/dunks are formulated to release effective levels of Bti for a period of 30 days or more under typical environmental conditions. The floating action of the briquets/dunks will ensure that active material is released at the surface as well as gradually settle to the bottom. These briquets/dunks may be used in all types of mosquito breeding areas. To prevent briquets/dunks from being flushed out of certain treatment sites, they can be anchored using string tied through the hole in the center or staked in place. They can also be used for preflood treatment. If the briquets/dunks are applied to dry areas which are known or suspected to become breeding sites when flooded, such as woodland pools and abandoned swimming pools, the briquets will float to the surface when flooding occurs and start releasing the active Bti material. Alternate wetting and drying will not reduce their effectiveness. Review: superb product & great price - great product appeared to work straight away. Update:- 3/06/20 just finished this card of dunks, only use on a large Koi pond to maintain, all the aquatic bugs ( mozzies, black, fruit flies etc.... ) Again only use in the spring/summer here in the UK, very temperature dependant, but they certainly break up the life cycles, I bought an expensive U/V, professional light tube zapper, before finding these! The zapper has not been used for years? The downside is that the product only appears to be available in USA? So the price with shipping, has more than doubled? Why? This makes them prohibitive now. Looks like the Zapper will make a comeback!!! superb product & great price

Mosquito dunks worked brilliantly. My small still (no flow or fountain) wildlife pond was full of mosquito lava which cleared in about 2 days. I use half a dunk once a month and so far it has remained clear of them.

Works wonders
Great product, I have used these to stop the mozies from breading in the water butts. Not at the moment as all 7 of them are dry as a bone!!!!

Good stuff
Brilliant stuff, my filters used to get clogged up with lava. Not any more. I have to big ponds so two in bottom pond and one top does the trick

Very effective but 300 mosquito eating fish that jump 2 meters are better
Good nasty Chen's for destroying mosquitoes but the price is too much.. So I changed all my fish to mosquito and fly assassin's now I don't need to buy these anymore as my pond acts as a mega Trap ..

Seen a reduced number of moskitos in the area since using these. I pop one in my drain ever month.

In the country there are lots of watering holes and using these has eliminated mosquitoes. They say they are non toxic and I use them my big copper bowl pond in my garden and they worked great. They have a slight smell but not noticable and they are easy to use. The speed is always important and they get right to work. I use them in lots of places and they don't seem to leave a residue so my pot is easy to clean. Use them any place there is standing water. I have had these for a few years and the tablets have stayed usable since I bought the big pack. I was surprised how long they lasted in the water keeping mosquitoes away which I guess makes them durable. I like that the ingredients are more natural and safe for the critters and creatures I love.
